imschur Posted January 22, 2012 Author Report Posted January 22, 2012 Actually my mistake, I included the one month it took for Major Malf to transfer to my dealer.
6132expert Posted January 26, 2012 Report Posted January 26, 2012 WOW.. one month for a transfer? I thought Major was ussually quicker then that. I can say I have never read anything bad about him. MAybe he was on vacation. So Drew have you got this rifle done yet? Where are the pictures?
edgecrusher Posted February 1, 2012 Report Posted February 1, 2012 this thread has taken forever, :tweed:
imschur Posted March 4, 2012 Author Report Posted March 4, 2012 Well if all goes well I will throw this thing together tomorrow. I have everything but the buttstock and sights. Im getting mixed reports in when the magpul moe rifle stock will start shipping. I may use the Wilson rogers Super Stoc instead.
imschur Posted March 6, 2012 Author Report Posted March 6, 2012 So the Wilson Combat TRIM RAIL requires a 1 3/16 wrench for their proprietary barrel nut. There's another $40 gone for a crowfoot wrench >:(

imschur Posted March 7, 2012 Author Report Posted March 7, 2012 This thing BROKE MY BALLS TODAY. Getting the gas tube in the gas block was a royal pain in the ass. I believe there may have been a burr in the block which was compounded by the added thickness of the melonite coated gas tube. I managed to get the gas tube stuck. Had to ruin it to remove it. With a lot of patience and a spare gas tube I perservered. Just need a crush washer and to pin the stock and muzzle brake.
washguy Posted March 7, 2012 Report Posted March 7, 2012 Imschur same thing happened to me on the second ma 10 build.... I couldnt for the life of me get the pin thru the gas block...ruined the pin and almost get it stuck in the block....so after close inspection of the block ..the gas block hole was drilled at funky angle....there was no way a pin was going to go thru the tube and then come out the other side of the gas block <dontknow> Wash
imschur Posted March 11, 2012 Author Report Posted March 11, 2012 Still waiting on the rear sight, not sure if what optic if any I will put on this. Maybe I'll leave the CMore on it. Sadly the stock and muzzle brake are pinned in place for compliance
Jgun Posted March 11, 2012 Report Posted March 11, 2012 Yeah, but correct me if I'm wrong, isn't that pinned Brake the AAC that mounts a suppressor?
imschur Posted March 11, 2012 Author Report Posted March 11, 2012 Yeah, but correct me if I'm wrong, isn't that pinned Brake the AAC that mounts a suppressor?you are correct
imschur Posted March 11, 2012 Author Report Posted March 11, 2012 Does anyone know what industrial coating SCARmor is?
unforgiven Posted April 6, 2012 Report Posted April 6, 2012  Nice job brother Drew, with suppressor. <thumbsup> Let us know how she handles. 8)
Jgun Posted April 6, 2012 Report Posted April 6, 2012 Looks beautiful Drew! What brand and length barrel did you go with? I'm definitely jealous of that suppressor, can't wait to hear how it shoots, both with and without the can. Have you even had a chance to try the 300BLK rd in any gun yet?
imschur Posted April 7, 2012 Author Report Posted April 7, 2012 Wilson Combat 16" Recon. I have not tried the 300 BO yet. In fact the only weapon I have seen in person is mine.
unforgiven Posted April 7, 2012 Report Posted April 7, 2012 You can have a can but have to pin your stock. :cookoo:
Jgun Posted April 7, 2012 Report Posted April 7, 2012 I'll be interested to hear your what your impression is of the 300, as compared to the 5.56.
outdare Posted April 25, 2012 Report Posted April 25, 2012 I was trolling Midway's sales page and came across this 300 ammo and thought I would pass it along. Not sure if it's a great deal or not.PNW Arms Ammunition 300 AAC Blackout 147 Grain Full Metal Jacket Boat Tail Box of 20 13.99http://www.midwayusa.com/product/528716/pnw-arms-ammunition-300-aac-blackout-147-grain-full-metal-jacket-boat-tail-box-of-20?cm_vc=J011
