98Z5V
^^^ I got you, bro... http://www.wojtekweaponry.com/wojtek-weaponry-625-adjustable-clamp-compression-gas-block/ Brother Ray, you're asking for one of the most complicated devices there is, at a decent price. Ti is a motherfucker to machine, and you know that. But .625, Ti, Adjustable gas. It doesn't get more specialized than that , brother. It ain't gonna be cheap. Check Precision Reflex, also. suzukiray
I know, but I am hoping. No one had any in stock at all the sites I looked at so decided to go Ti since I'm trying to build a lightweight.
98Z5V
That one Roman posted is pretty damn light, at 1.3oz.
DNP
you know, it's even lighter without a gas system. Saves money on the buffer as well. Kinda turns it into a single shot, but think of the weight savings!

Further weight savings, yay!!!!
sketch
.625 is a small but tall order .. you wont find that in a 7/11.
98Z5V
@suzukiray, why adjustable gas, brother? You can find alot of Ti 0.625" blocks, that are light as shiit. If it's built right, and the gas port is right, you won'tneed adjustable gas at all. You ain't gonna be running a suppressor in Cali, man... Faxon makes a great light 0.625" block in steel - got one of those. V Seven makes some serious- SERIOUS - lightweight shiit!!! SERIOUS!!! https://www.vsevenweaponsystems.com/

suzukiray
Building a LIGHT .223, Faxon pencil barrel, lightweight BCG, want to be able to tune the gas so the lighter BCG doesn't get slammed backwards. At least that's the theory from what I've researched. Carbon fiber parts too on this one. Want to see how light I can get the entire thing and still be reliable, hence Ti instead of aluminum for the gas block. I am open to suggestions from anyone that's built a light one. You are a dick and the only saving grace is that when I HIT you with this rifle in October it won't hurt as much because it will be lighter!!! PHUCKER!!!! LOL!!! Robocop1051
If you’re not pinning a 14.5” Faxon pencil barrel, you’re not trying hard enough.
Robocop1051
Hey Tom... should we tell him about Brigand carbon fiber handguards?
suzukiray
I already got a carbon fiber handguard and pistol grip. Nice try smart guy!!! Lol!!! I went 16" barrel because I don't know what muzzle device I want but didn't want to be stuck with one I couldn't change if I wanted.
Robocop1051
A 16” pencil barrel with a thread protector just might be lighter than a 14.5” pencil barrel with a pinned Ti muzzle device.
98Z5V
I don't know about that one, brother ^^^ ... There are some pretty nice Ti muzzle devices out there that don't weigh about anything... I'm curious about that CF handguard he picked up. That thing can't be as light as that Brigand.

I'm now moving on to my third ground-up AR build (~$1,000 in each of the first 2), and have some 80% receiver stuff on the way. Not to mention the money I spent prettying up that old LR-308T... Welcome aboard!
