suzukiray Posted July 18, 2018 Report Posted July 18, 2018 Anyone have one for sale? Cant find a decent price on one. Building something I need it for. Ray.
sketch Posted July 18, 2018 Report Posted July 18, 2018 first one i can find.. but not sure if its in stalk better call em bro.http://www.wojtekweaponry.com/wojtek-weaponry-625-adjustable-clamp-compression-gas-block/
98Z5V Posted July 18, 2018 Report Posted July 18, 2018 ^^^ I got you, bro... http://www.wojtekweaponry.com/wojtek-weaponry-625-adjustable-clamp-compression-gas-block/ Brother Ray, you're asking for one of the most complicated devices there is, at a decent price. Ti is a motherfucker to machine, and you know that. But .625, Ti, Adjustable gas. It doesn't get more specialized than that , brother. It ain't gonna be cheap. Check Precision Reflex, also.
suzukiray Posted July 18, 2018 Author Report Posted July 18, 2018 I know, but I am hoping. No one had any in stock at all the sites I looked at so decided to go Ti since I'm trying to build a lightweight.
98Z5V Posted July 18, 2018 Report Posted July 18, 2018 That one Roman posted is pretty damn light, at 1.3oz.
DNP Posted July 18, 2018 Report Posted July 18, 2018 you know, it's even lighter without a gas system. Saves money on the buffer as well. Kinda turns it into a single shot, but think of the weight savings!

Further weight savings, yay!!!!
sketch Posted July 18, 2018 Report Posted July 18, 2018 .625 is a small but tall order .. you wont find that in a 7/11.
98Z5V Posted July 18, 2018 Report Posted July 18, 2018 @suzukiray, why adjustable gas, brother? You can find alot of Ti 0.625" blocks, that are light as shiit. If it's built right, and the gas port is right, you won'tneed adjustable gas at all. You ain't gonna be running a suppressor in Cali, man... Faxon makes a great light 0.625" block in steel - got one of those. V Seven makes some serious- SERIOUS - lightweight shiit!!! SERIOUS!!! https://www.vsevenweaponsystems.com/
Robocop1051 Posted July 18, 2018 Report Posted July 18, 2018 FWIW. I tried making an adjustable gb for my .338.... I blew the MFer right dafuq up!
sketch Posted July 18, 2018 Report Posted July 18, 2018 magnum size at 7/11 and still blew his wad out the barrel. my gf went to buy a dildo from the local ps anx noticed a huge plaid colored one behind the desk. she asked the gal what does that one cost. its a perfect size to match my man.. the saleswoman behind the counter said thats her thermos for coffee .
suzukiray Posted July 18, 2018 Author Report Posted July 18, 2018 Building a LIGHT .223, Faxon pencil barrel, lightweight BCG, want to be able to tune the gas so the lighter BCG doesn't get slammed backwards. At least that's the theory from what I've researched. Carbon fiber parts too on this one. Want to see how light I can get the entire thing and still be reliable, hence Ti instead of aluminum for the gas block. I am open to suggestions from anyone that's built a light one.

SERIOUS!!! https://www.vsevenweaponsystems.com/ Tom, you're an A$$HOLE!!! I did NOT need to know about VSEVEN!!!! I just spent a STUPID amount of money with them!!!! You are a dick and the only saving grace is that when I HIT you with this rifle in October it won't hurt as much because it will be lighter!!! PHUCKER!!!! LOL!!!
Robocop1051 Posted July 18, 2018 Report Posted July 18, 2018 If you’re not pinning a 14.5” Faxon pencil barrel, you’re not trying hard enough.
Robocop1051 Posted July 18, 2018 Report Posted July 18, 2018 Hey Tom... should we tell him about Brigand carbon fiber handguards?
suzukiray Posted July 18, 2018 Author Report Posted July 18, 2018 I already got a carbon fiber handguard and pistol grip. Nice try smart guy!!! Lol!!! I went 16" barrel because I don't know what muzzle device I want but didn't want to be stuck with one I couldn't change if I wanted.
Robocop1051 Posted July 18, 2018 Report Posted July 18, 2018 A 16” pencil barrel with a thread protector just might be lighter than a 14.5” pencil barrel with a pinned Ti muzzle device.
98Z5V Posted July 18, 2018 Report Posted July 18, 2018 I don't know about that one, brother ^^^ ... There are some pretty nice Ti muzzle devices out there that don't weigh about anything... I'm curious about that CF handguard he picked up. That thing can't be as light as that Brigand.

Same here -- I joined up 2 years ago, having spent a grand total of $850 on a LR-308T at the time. I'm now moving on to my third ground-up AR build (~$1,000 in each of the first 2), and have some 80% receiver stuff on the way. Not to mention the money I spent prettying up that old LR-308T... Welcome aboard!
