Shows Stoner himself disassembling an original AR. not the sharpest focus, but it is over 60 years old and shows how so many were wowed by the design. I was actually surprised by the lack of recoil under full auto and belt fed modes. Well, Get out the popcorn...

Thanks for the post.  I noticed among other things a free riding gas key,  i.e. not staked.  Using the pins as punches was pretty cool as well.  On to the second vid.

A belt fed application,  that's new to me.  

Hmm!  Thank goodness no one has suggested purchasing one of these from Armalite before I posted.  You know how the powers of suggestion overwhelm some of you.  I never fall prey to those ideas,   expect for once in every item mentioned.  Or 4 times with those sig barrels,  that are still in the wrapper.  Or the 260,  suppressor,  Olight,  A_Z gun lube,  Athlon scope,  SLR,  Toolcraft bcg,  LaRue triggers,  Beachcraft slings,   and things of a similar nature.  Except for them I'm cool.

Talked to a fellow years ago on the forum that had a full auto original AR10. He said that the original design had significantly less felt recoil then the modern AR10 and 308AR designs. So much so that full auto control was not a problem. He only posted a few times and I had a few PM’s with him, then he disappeared.
