That is some FINE work, Al!!!   Very nice!

When you love the gun - it always shoots great.  When you don't like the gun that much, you'll find that "it shoots like shiit" often...

Nice rifle and groups.  Hopefully the weather breaks here soon and the temps drop a wee bit.  Every time I go out in this heat,  90+,   I get heat stroke or some such.

It's hard to argue with success.

Not to get off thread, but does anybody here want to buy your wife a set of pot holders?

Pfffft...   Sunday morning, I'm running initial loads through The Cobbled 6 ARC to see what's up.  It's gonna be 90* at 6am, brother. I hope I can muscle through this fast, because it's supposed to be 112* here on Sunday.  #RealHeatSucksAss

Nice shootin Al. Nice rifle too. I love the plain Jane, no nonsense look.

Thanks Ron. It shoots so well I can’t justify changing anything. I almost went with a free float hand guard, but I doubt that would make me shoot it better. Just glad I built up my inventory of B model Gen II magazines. I do like the old style leather sling. I have them on all my 20 in barrel ARs and my M1A now.

That would send me to the hospital with heat stroke. Good luck I have been following the 6mm ARC thread. Interesting!

Can't play in the heat too long,  I'm learning how to live in Fla.  About four months of shade seeking while being outside walking the dog.  The other eight months is generally pleasurable and the reason most folks retire to similar places.  Sorry @Sisco,  didn't want to veer too outside the box.

That plain Jane,  tuxedo style,   or full on business style shows well in the picture.  I can't tell for sure,  what is on the muzzle?  is it the bird cage?  ... and the sling,   aah the 1907.  How many boys had that piece of work issued?  There is something to be said about those.  I have a few and they always remind me of my father's generation,  and of course some of our brothers.  I have a black " Carlos Hathcock "  stamped " White Feather " sling.  I became interested in them while messing around doing National Match Garand shooting.  In an artistic view,  I know I'm going too far,  but I just woke up after a terrible nights sleep,  the sling naturally brings your eye back to the subject,  the movement so to speak.  It reminds me of the Amazon logo.  The arrow points from A to Z,  insinuating that Amazon has everything.

I'm glad you have the option of not being here for now.   " It's murder I tell you."   Even following downpours,  which I like watching,  the place dries up in twenty minutes and you never thought it rained.  Again,  nice rifle and pic.
