Can you have a suppressor?

I'm using the OSS 7.62 flow-through suppressor. I don't notice any big difference between when it's on and when it's off (other than the volume maybe).

I think I'm probably on the edge of having some function problems from carrier speed already, so I wonder what would happen if I put a baffle can on the end. I would test this out and report back, but it's already in the mail.

What's wrong with your shoulders?  I thought a .308 bolt gun was stiffer than .308 AR. I had to read over so until you nail the recoil system your going to have issues. I'm 68 had one replaced and one laced up.

Nothing wrong with the shoulders, but there will be if I keep shooting this gun. I have bolt rifles in 308, 30-06, 300WM, you name it. Any and all of those are tamer than this beast. I just don't understand.

I think we can say the recoil system is nailed. I've got a receiver extension with the proper depth, and the most mass and stiffest spring they make. The problem must be elsewhere.

I find that hard to believe.

Damn it all, now you have annoyed me. Your badge says "Specialist." What exactly is your specialty, running your mouth? If you don't have anything constructive to say, I wish you would just pipe down. That way if somebody posts some actual help it won't get lost in your inane ramblings.

By the way, a butt pad? A BUTT PAD? My 5-year-old son suggested the same thing. Can he be a "Specialist" too?

Yeah. That's a good way to get help around here.

Go ahead and throw some shade at one of the prominent members of this board. I'm sure the rest of us will be more than willing to help you out with any of your problems with your rifles. (that's sarcasm by the way, if it was missed)

I'm done.

You put that shiit on your son . He's a special, ist in my book. (You) Dad not so much.  Training on the rifle is a better idea. Don't blast us with weak feelings. Run the gun..

You said it functions.  Lube it like a sea otter and run it . Report back whenever you man up after 10 push-ups.  🏆  or have your son finish the game for you. Smfh!

Whoa, looks like I stepped in the yellow jacket nest this time, didn't I?

Y'all settle down, I'm not throwin' shade. I came here for some serious help and advice, and have gotten exactly that from almost everybody. But I have a low tolerance for people wasting my time, as I'm sure each of you men does, and unforgiven went over his limit yesterday. I had to call him on it. Hopefully his ego has not been shattered and he can recover from it. I'm already over it.

Now I'm off to do some push-ups, as sketch recommended. Hope y'all have a good day.

Time to lighten up Francis. Guys are trying to help but you are making it difficult with your defensive attitude.  Maybe time to junk this recoil heavy project and start again at the beginning using some of the wonderful advice you have received. I once fed a dog that bit me and had to bury him later. Attitude is everything.

I'm not bitin' just growlin' a little bit! I'm not that bad a guy, although it probably seems that way by now. I'll try to keep it light and easy.

I'm just not ready to junk her yet. Can't let go, seems like I'm so close to an awesome gun.

I hear you. The guys on this forum have been a tremendous help to me with a bit of knowledge I just did not possess. Now, if anyone needs help with an M14, I can probably help them out, but these AR types have always been a big question mark to me. Owned an Armalite AR 10 years ago but gave it to my son who needed it more than me, then after hearing how great the M110s were it the accuracy department, I had to at least try. So far, my M14s that I have nailed together and modified are working out much better. I am at the bottom of the AR learning ladder, but trying. This one is working pretty well now.

That's a good looking rig. I would be proud to own that. Hope I can turn out something like that soon, that just runs like a sewing machine. Been working and studying on this build waaaay too much lately. The odd thing is though, I have really enjoyed it. The gun didn't work at all, until I found this forum. Felt good to bring it that far. Just need to smooth it out. And if I can't do that, I'll start again.

@NF1EIs it camera angle, scope ring height, optical illusion, or my eyes?   Your scope looks higher at the eye than it is at the front.  Are the rings 2 different makes?

Probably some pretty good MOA built into those.  Burris makes a sweet set that you can dial 40 MOA into.  We used those on Gun Pusher John's .375 Chey Tac bolt gun, on top of a 30 MOA base.  70 MOA into the scope on that beast.  It's a 2-mile gun that we haven't even shot 1 mile yet, that fuqr...   :laffs:

As well, from our perspective, when someone new comes here, wants info, and is given that info freely...  and then they lose their shiit on a long-standing member - or, more often, when they don't agree with or like the recommendations given...

That doesn't end well, typically.  We don't tolerate that for more than a second.

Optical illusion. Same NF rings fore and aft. I think it has something to do with the rail being missing on most of the handguard.  Sharp eye.
