I worked at a custom butcher shop in highschool. My favorite thing that came out of our smoker was smoked habañero cheese. Hell yeah.

I cut the block in half and only smoked one half, tried a slice of the non smoked holy hell that's got some zip!! Almost to much for me

I'm looking for a nice smoker to replace my old Brinkman round 1500 watt electric from the 1980 era, it is about burnt thru the bottom.

I can't decide between electric or propane using the hickory mesquite chips up right. Or maybe a combo charcoal, wood and propane grilling and smoking unit I have seen at Lowes.

That Masterbilt looks awful nice. Tell me about the "Smoke Daddy" is it attached to the side of the smoker?

I do turkeys, briskits, and hams and almost anything with my old Brinkman. It has a porcelain water pan above the heater for liquids (water cooking wine and spices) I like the moist flavor mixed with the wood smoke. You load it up, Wood chips wrapped in foil, the liquid above the chips and two racks for the meat and put the lid on and plug it in for about 45 minutes per pound of meat. The results are great! The new ones all have an access door on the side. Mine does not have any access door, the smoker is sealed except for around the lid.

Thanks, looks like I will have a Masterbilt digital controlled 30" electric smoker with a Smoke Daddy on my wish list. I was looking at Brinkman combo propane charcoal smoker grills, but they have been discontinued.

Yeppers my Green mountain is going on 4 years now....pellet grills are awesome...I think the Daniel Boone is the smaller of the two....me and Rene have it. I wouldnt think there would be any need for the larger one. The only reason I put a smoke daddy on it was because the BBQ joint around the corner has BBQ that is so smokey good I was trying to keep up with their smoke...lol

One thing bout Green mountain is that my parts warranty is still honored even after 4 years...cant beat that...neat thing bout the Green mountain...you can grill steaks and stuff too ,cause it can get up to 500 degrees and sear steaks,,,used it last nite for steaks...yummy!

Me and Rene both have the "blanket" which allows the smoker to use less pellets. I order my pellets online and get 40 lb bags for bout a buck a pound delivered  :)  Wash
