Hell yeah - he's the shot caller.  Glad I trained him so well as a Spotter. He knew two things about long range before he met me - Jack, and Shiit.    :laffs::thumbup:

He spent that $1k store credit on the Long Shot 2 Mile Target Camera System  - so we can SEE what you fuqrs hit and miss at the Fall Shoot...  :lmao:

Fall Shoot is gonna get Spicy!

@JBMatt, I know if we don't quote you, you'll never find these gems of knowledge, wisdom, and enlightenment...

Let's do this - both of you.  Fall Shoot '25 is ON the 3rd Saturday of the month this year.  Matt and I will miss that match - for YOU Fuqrs...

We have choices - break from the Shoot, hit the match and come back to camp - or let's make another weekend during cool temps...  So it's easier on you "temperate Climate folks."  I'd hate to ask you to come out here in the next two months, July or August, and Man yourself through the heat of such a magnificient event.  I mean, I can take care of you when you Heat Stroke out - but that's no fun for me, and the other, tougher, desert-attendees of the match, that routinely show up.

We can do this one of two ways - talk about it, or be about it.  Simple, really.  Bring a gun that runs, is zero'd, zap out here when it's not uncomfortable for you, and just do one match.

Just one...   Can be a weekend deal, for you guys, when you have a 3rd Saturday of the month open.  Lemme know when you're coming...

Or, sit on the couch, and talk about it...   :bitchslap::banana:

Here's 2 clean stages of what you fools are facing...   :laffs:

Time limit, max rounds, multiple targets, multiple firing positions, and stress management to get it done.  I can't always juggle all that, but I did this time, and it was cool.

Here ya go, boys.  @98Z5V gets to make a cameo because our camera man had to take a piss when I shot the rock stage.  And make sure to congratulate that sum bitch on his first clean match!  It was well deserved, as he did a good job working through some issues.  Cuz ya know.  Dude has issues. :hornet:

This is just the start, of a YT Channel, where we get to go at it, and the horsefuckery is actually caught, captioned, and preserved for the rest of time...

I'll upload the Stage Briefs, so you can all see them, with corrected distances to the actual targets, from the night before the match.  @JBMatt put this vid together from Stage 1 through Stage 6, even though we start on Squad 4 (Sqd 4 - 4 LIFE!), and run the match 4, 5, 6, 1, 2, 3, in that firing order.  Cool that he did that.  4, 5, and 6 are always the longer-distance stages, and more subject to wind, when we have wind.  Based on sign-up time, and shooter order, I'm usually a wind-dummy, firing early in the Sqd, on those stages when there is wind - so I get alot of questions about wind, after I shoot them. I usually don't miss the longer-distance targets, despite whatever wind we have - but I can sure fuk up a stage on shorter targets...  with a quickness.  Doesn't make any damn sense...   :laffs::bitchslap:

I'm sure it'll come up - Matt's gun is a 22 DPC.  That's a 6 ARC case, necked down to .224.

6.5G and 6 ARC differ, in that the 6 ARC shoulder is bumped back 0.030" from the Grendel case, as well as being necked down to .243, from the Grendel .264.

So, the .22 DPC is a necked down 6 ARC case.  When you look at 22 ARC - that's a necked down 6.5G case.  .22 DPC has it's has shoulder moved back 0.030" more than the .22 ARC...

That's the laydown on the cartridge.

I was shooting a LaRue full gun, 6 ARC in that match, WITH Factory Hornady 108 ELD-M loaded ammo.  Gun differences, for that match.

I heard @JBMatt throw one of his "NAAAAW..." signals in there on the Pole Stage...   :lmao::laffs:

When have we heard that one before?...

Someone find it...   and post it here...

The one on the pole stage was because of a bad spotter call.  I could see that it was wrong and made the correction myself.  Opposite of the spotter.  The other one you're referencing was just straight up disbelief.  I didn't give @Magwa enough credit.  I'll never underestimate him again.  Lol.

What can I say but plead  jealousy.

Love to shoot one of those matches but you'll have to spot me a gas gun as there is nothing I can currently legally bring down.

As to time off, 2025 not looking good with starting new job and the moving. Now 2026, well on Fed 3 at 1 year anniversary I get an instant 3 weeks paid holidays and will pick up another 3-4 weeks of paid holiday time as 2026 progress 🥳 This allows me to both enjoy Fall shoot and  separate weekend at the match. If I can make it work with @Matt.Cross schedule well even better

Thank you for appreciating my sensitive nature to the season you call summer and your willingness to provide first aid. I do have some reservations seeing as pants down hugs are your preferred greeting so a vivid imagination makes me wonder about your treatment of heat stroke 🫣

For the record I'm not sitting on my couch but comfortably lying on my new couch

Bro.  Seriously.  Are you kidding me here?  I can spot you any gas gun you want, whatever caliber you want, any barrel length you want - WITH the ammo you need to shoot.  ANYTIME you want to venture down here for one of these.

Get you down here the day prior, zero the gun/ammo to your eyes - and it's game on.  I just need the TIME from you...   :lmao:

You just need to bring enough underwear to get you through the weekend - I'll even give you a spare toothbrush.

I'm NOT loaning you any underwear...

6.5 is totally legal.  Especially in the wind.  (What wind hold?)  That would put you in the Heavy Metal Class (AR 10).  Quite a few guys run that, and we run them sometimes.  @98Z5V likes to bring his superior 260 and flex all over the inferior 6.5's. 🙄 Obviously the most common round is 223.  6 ARC is also popular.  For 223, whether you shoot factory or roll your own, you'll want to run at least a 73 gr projectile.  75's and 77's are best.  69's start to do weird things at about 600 yds and become unpredictable.

@Cunuckgaucho If you want to borrow a gun that has cleaned many matches, I got you.  Like he said, you're welcome to borrow one of @98Z5V's, but all his AR's are still learning.  :hornet:  I'll get you one that's already trained.  :fullauto:

@Matt.Cross I know where there is a MK12 in 6 ARC that shoots pretty good.  😉

To go with the vid, you can open the link to each stage, and see what we had to shoot, as you move through the stages in the vid.  These link, when opened in a new tab, should directly pull up the PDF doc of each Written Stage Brief...

Of note - these WSBs are sent out the night before, or more, but targets are placed Saturday morning before the match, and some distances can be different.  I'll list the differences for each stage...

Stg 1:  T3 & T4 were 309, T5 was 449.

I knew you guys would have me covered 😘

If I go with a tactical kilt then no underwear to worry about 🙈

One big reason for taking the new job was the paid holiday time off. After a year in things get crazy, a good year can mean up to 10 weeks paid vacation! Depending on on call and call outs.Rule says I must use my 3 weeks each year as time off, everything else I can bank or paid time off or cash out.

Starting in 2026 I'll be able to come down and stick around for a match(or show up early) both Spring and Fall shoot
