We are trying some above ground gardening this year.  It is a little bit late for Texas.  I built all of the boxes from stuff I had leftover from the build.  I bought some garden soil and shoveled it into the boxes.  Damn I need a tractor! 🚜

The left box will be potatoes.  The lower right trough is onions.

I have these labeled.  There is also a jalapeño plant in the back.

That's great to see Doc. The old lady and I keep talking about starting a garden at the West Virginia house. Just haven't got around to it yet. Maybe next season.

Those metal raised beds are so nice, less bending over and keeps some of the critters out, I’ve got one and going to start transitioning to more

I’ve had mine planted about a month now it got really hot and humid with some rain the past two weeks and everything took off! 

Black raised bed has sweet and hot peppers with onions planted in the gaps

black barrels are something new, I saw a way to plant potatoes I wanted to give a try so far only one has come up 

then there’s my tomatoes garden with some green beans

Onions were tiny this year, and I don’t have much hope in my potatoes but everything else is outta control in a good way. I had a volunteer cherry tomato and green bean plank come up this year that have exploded, and I’m about to be drowning in tomatoes and peppers

no but she’s ready to lay down suppressive fire if shit goes down! She’s a spitfire I love her! 
 

in 2014 a week before I left for my bear hunt I watched a suspicious vehicle pull up between her house and the water tower, at that time the road dead ended and there was bs that went down at the water tower park. Leo’s always told me if you see shady shit call us we’ll check it out I said deal! This night I called in dispatch repeated back NSEW intersecting roads to a T of where this car was to me. I then watched the officer drive past the suspect car 3 times and finally they drove off. That week actually 12 years ago last week, their house was robbed. Honestly they’re the easiest people to pattern. Anyways ever since we’ve always checked in with each other when we leave. The first time I left for awhile she says I got my 38 if it’s not your mom I’ll shoot em! 

after that cop fucked up I took shit into my own hands. My chair sits looking at the tv but next to my two windows and down the road towards the water tower. Come home late from fishing or just staying up see some suss shit, tuck a pistol walk out the front door with a flash light get to the end of my drive way and light them up. One night it was two kids smoking cigs eating chips at 12am asked them if they needed help they said no I said than get the fuck outa here, got talking to a buddy he said they probably dropped someone off at the other end and he was checking car doors which was common at the time. The other that made me laugh was a lady friend was over one night and she says there’s a car parked infront of your van! Again 11pm no reason to be there I said im going out there. I walk out I can see a person reclined in a seat on there phone, I knock on the rear driver side window and blow them up with a flash light at the same time this bitch damn near goes thru the roof I scared her so bad! She tells me she’s texting her husband, I told her go park at the piggly wiggly or maybe the church.

What's the range to to the top forward edge of that water tower, facing your house?  

If I lived there, I'd have that on my range card.  I'll never give up high ground around me, without knowing how to designate it as a TRP.  TRP #1 is always the highest location around me.

You know I’ve always looked at my roof at high ground but flat ground 75 yard, from door to door
