the Kimber edc2 ultra in 9mm...good bad?  why do folks rag on kimbers?

  We , my wife and I, got her a Kimber Solo.

  Its the ultimate, I think, in conciel ability.

  Almost 500 rounds through it now, everything from re-loads to American Eagle cheepy stuff, to Federal hydrashock.  No failures of any kind.

  Got a second one for a female friend, she has a couple of hundred rounds through hers, also with NO failures.

    I am so impressed, I have one on order for myself.  Me, who, for 50 years, has said I'd NEVER own a 9 for self defense.

My wife has been hounding me for a Kimber Solo since they first released. Good to know its a shooter. It's a PITA trying to get her to carry. I got her a Colt Mustang and a Colt 1908. She says she's afraid of hurting the antiques!?!?

The 1908s, 1903s, Brownings in the same era, I've often wondered "With the Wild Bunch shooting taking off as it has, why isn't someone making high-quality replicas on CNC?"  Look at what cowboy action shooting has done for single-action revolvers.

My wife currently has an HK P2000 LEM with an NP3'd slide, and an M&P9C w/ Apex Tactical trigger.

I have a 3yr old boy that get's into EVERYTHING and she doesn't want to carry on her hip, and definitely can't keep it in her purse. I'm getting her a Ruger LCP .380 and the Flashbang bra. It'd definitely allow her to carry easier. I'm just going to make sure she gets plenty of presentations down before carrying condittion 1
