Matt.Cross Posted January 9, 2013 Report Posted January 9, 2013 We've got Ospreys all over the place where I work. Duke Energy has an initiative going to provide sanctuaries for endangered birds of prey.

Matt.Cross Posted January 9, 2013 Report Posted January 9, 2013 Man, he kicked that flounder's ASS!!! :2nd:Oh yeah, that flounder was laying there thinking, "I am invisible, I am nothing but some discolored sand, I am invisible!". The Osprey is like "You are dinner, you are tasty and I can see both your eyeballs as plain as daylight, you are dinner!" *POW* Dinner. Awesome video Madhouse!

shepp Posted January 12, 2013 Report Posted January 12, 2013 never seen the osprys i would love to not alot in WI area. we do have alot of bald eagles around here tho. ive photographed them in SO WI in the winter, eastern wi in the spring and in Northern WI and the UP all year round. in the winter we feed them buy throwning a fish on the ice its really cool to watch, in the summer if you catch one that dont look like its going to make it, bang it on the side of the boat toss it out and let the eagles swoop down and take it.from over were i trout fish in the springthis nest looks like a VW Bug upside down in a tree
98Z5V Posted January 12, 2013 Report Posted January 12, 2013 ^^^ Most impressive Bird of Prey in existance. Spent a little time in Alaska. Elmendorf AFB has a wounded-eagle aviary on base. You can get out, walk up, and look at the Eagles. It's an eye opener when you walk up, and there's one on the other side of the wire, and he comes up to your waist... It's something you don't think about when you see them in the air - they're pretty damn huge, and could rip you apart with little effort. Incredible creatures. <thumbsup>
edgecrusher Posted January 12, 2013 Report Posted January 12, 2013 We have them in Mass too, along the Ct river and at the Quabbin. Lots of Red Tail hawks too. Awesome seeing them take some chow.
