planeflyer21
"4. Direct the Attorney General to review categories of individuals prohibited from having a gun to make sure dangerous people are not slipping through the cracks."Paraphrased, "Eric Holder will now review what labels we may best apply to large groups of people, in order to deny constitutional rights of those whom we fear most."Or maybe I'm just too damned cynical.Jon

planeflyer21
Could have been worse <dontknow>poop bro, that was stuffing the bags of powder into the breech of the 16" gun, nothing more. Just wait...Non-stop reading of letters from children, constant media barrage (local and national), hammer, hammer, hammer, hammer.Today they were playing an audio clip of a local politidouche...some new term for standard-capacity magazines, like "over capacity" or "extra capacity". Don't remember exactly. Total buzz phrase we will be hearing LOTS more.Jon

Rsquared
16. Clarify that the Affordable Care Act does not prohibit doctors asking their patients about guns in their homes. Now just what the hell is that supposed to mean? Why would a doctor wanna know if there are guns in my house? All of this, is just more senseless bullpoopy. Puts me more into my "defensive crouch"......waiting for the endrun.
98Z5V
Harry Reid stuffed a piece into Obamacare that specifically limits docs and health from asking ANYTHING about firearms. It was something that nobody had time to read, before Pelosi shoved that wreck off the cliff...Looks like The King just circumvented that. blue109
Looks like hes just tapdancing. I think it shows he knows hes not going to be able to ram it through. I dont think they were prepared for the type of resistance they are getting and they are just setting a bookmark while they run back to the drawing board. 98Z5V
That was a legislative act(obamacare) wouldn't it take legislative action to reverse / circumvent it? <dontknow>Tough call, and question - If I understand all this right, the way it's supposed to work, Obamacare was legislative, but could be affected by The King's Executive Orders, if it hadn't been enacted yet. Example, Obamacare doesn't go into effect until 2014.I think what will fcuk The King right in his ass is - starting January 1st, we're paying taxes for Obamacare. It's "enacted" already, thus can't be changed by Executive Order. We'll see who wins the "definition war" on this one...

392heminut
Doc might be able to ask me if I have guns in the house, but that doesn't mean I gotta tell him anything other than 'None of your business!' :thefinger:
98Z5V
Exactly right. <thumbsup>When I respond to a doc, I'll add a very hearty FCUK YOU in there also.
Matt.Cross
It's a very easy question to answer. When both my kids were born, I was asked if I had guns in the house. The only thing they were told is "That's not something I'd tell my doctor." My wife was instructed to answer the same.
392heminut
I would too Tom, but my Doc is a really great guy and has helped me out in the past. When Josh injured his shoulder a month before the state wrestling championships he got the boy squared away, if you know what I mean. ;)
98Z5V
My routine doc, I'd be polite with. He'd be informed that, whether I own firearms or not, that's a question I think he has no business asking. My kid even knows this, at 16, when I showed him all the stuff that was passed signed into the recordbooks.ER staff, ambulance EMTs, anything I wind up in the hospital for - they can choke on a dick if they ask that question. <thumbsup>
unforgiven
I don't tell Doc's any more than I have to,like if they ask me if I smoke it's NO.
