Polymer Facts

Alright you AR gurus, what's true and what isn't?

I know that some of the Plum Crazy builders had some issues.  Now there appears to be a plethora ("Sí El Jefé...a plethora!") of polymer AR15-style lowers available...New Frontier, ATI Omni, FMK Patriot.

Are any worth your money?  Any would wouldn't take if someone gave it to you?

What are your personal experiences with them?

read lots of stuff on them. looks like the new frontier have nice finish. the omni are rough but functional. id build a cheap shooter with one if it was the only lower available. before the stupid started I was getting forged lowers for $65 so no reason to use plastic.

Stupid prices are the only reason I'm looking at them now.

And their prices are 2 or 3 times what they were before stupid started.

Jon,

I will let you shoot a bunch of Plum Crazy lowers on different guns the next time we go shooting.

22lr , 223 , 6.8spc , there is nothing wrong with these.

Like them or hate them it doesn't matter , they work and if not abused they will last.

Cav lowers are the best but he lost his FFL by being scammed by Dept of Justice (Fast and Furious)

They can be purchased by a company in Ok.

Lighter mod with Bic.

I'm thinking those may be worth a try...adding up all those parts that this one assembly replaces, it may not be too bad.

No lighters!!!! modern polymers and flame don't work well together, trust me, I work with plastics. Use a heat gun instead.
