Went Nov 2 to see Rik Emmett at the BB King club. Spent the day walking about and visiting the empire state building

Everyone should experience NYC once. I wish I could have brought my DSLR but cameras with removable lens were not allowed at the concert.

When I was a kid, right out of high school, I worked at a concert hall. I got a chance to see BB King play live with his daughter. James Hetfeild (Metallica) was there to watch the show too.

After the show was over, and I closed down the place, I stopped off at a local 24hr diner for a coffee before my drive home. While I was there BB King and his entourage walked in. One of them recognized me and they invited me to sit with them and listen to Kings old stories.

I loved working there as a kid. Great stories. I have a similar one about Joe Satriani.

One place I've always wanted to go but probably will never go. A good friend of mine lives in the city his stories are crazy. His dad was a movie director, in the early 90's my friend Drew got into making music videos his résumé is pretty impressive. He's done everything from hip hop to hair metal.

Lol, no. just a similar story about hanging out after the show. Satriani was a very cool guy. A local guitar instructor brought his 12 yo student to the concert. Satriani sat down with the kid after the show and they jammed together in the empty concert hall. I got to hang aaround for the show.
