imschur Posted January 1, 2014 Report Posted January 1, 2014 Bought these and the temperature went to 50-60 degrees and melted the snow and ice. Also running tubless now. Did I mention I put a deposit on another bike?
Rsquared Posted January 1, 2014 Report Posted January 1, 2014 That sounds like my luck. Buy the studded tires, and all the snow and ice goes off into hiding.
unforgiven Posted January 1, 2014 Report Posted January 1, 2014 First the registration then the snow. You might want to put off going to the casino.Just sayin.
98Z5V Posted January 1, 2014 Report Posted January 1, 2014 I'll dig up some pics of bolted tires. Not studded - bolted. 2 1/2" bolts through the tires. They're for hill-climbing. BIG hills. >:D

98Z5V Posted January 2, 2014 Report Posted January 2, 2014 You're REAL cautious about footpeg grip when runnin' those. You DO NOT want a foot coming off a peg - or you won't have a foot anymore... <lmao>
imschur Posted January 2, 2014 Author Report Posted January 2, 2014 I got stuck rolling down a hill with the first Suzuki 230"Quadsport" I think it was called. Anyhow for the entire roll I was under it, on it, in it with the rear wheels spinning on my love handles. Not pretty, not fun. I hate when tires get 100% traction going up a dirt wall.

I got in a tumbling match off a rock wash in the KY mountains once with my old Polaris Scrambler 500. I developed a brand new respect for that machine after we took turns landing on one another about 30 times....
