44Dave Posted January 5, 2014 Report Posted January 5, 2014 So I see people posting their targets with computer measured MOA groups. Looking around I see On Target. Is that the only program that does this?
98Z5V Posted January 5, 2014 Report Posted January 5, 2014 That's the one I've been using since abut 2009 or 2010.
Matt.Cross Posted January 5, 2014 Report Posted January 5, 2014 That's what I use. Hard to beat in terms of usefulness vs. cost.
44Dave Posted January 5, 2014 Author Report Posted January 5, 2014 OK, that's what I will go with! Thanks.
gnatshooter Posted January 6, 2014 Report Posted January 6, 2014 Is there a standard/accepted method for measuring/calculating MOA without using a computer program? I would like to know what it is.
bubbasks Posted January 6, 2014 Report Posted January 6, 2014 Measure bullet holes edge to edge at widest point and subtract bullet diameter
gnatshooter Posted January 6, 2014 Report Posted January 6, 2014 Measure bullet holes edge to edge at widest point and subtract bullet diameter That is so simple, why would a computer program be needed? I thought it would be something like the average distance between holes center-to-center or something like that.
seasprite Posted January 6, 2014 Report Posted January 6, 2014 Measure bullet holes edge to edge at widest point and subtract bullet diameter That is so simple, why would a computer program be needed? I thought it would be something like the average distance between holes center-to-center or something like that. I have people tell me to measure the carbon transfer and not the hole but since ON TARGET been out I've been using it to give a constant reference and eliminate the differences that people have to measure from.
44Dave Posted January 6, 2014 Author Report Posted January 6, 2014 Measure bullet holes edge to edge at widest point and subtract bullet diameter Edge to edge? Or center to center?
392heminut Posted January 6, 2014 Report Posted January 6, 2014 Edge to edge? Or center to center? If you measure edge to edge and subtract your bullet diameter that gives you your center to center measurement.
44Dave Posted January 6, 2014 Author Report Posted January 6, 2014 If you measure edge to edge and subtract your bullet diameter that gives you your center to center measurement. Yeah, but math. Amirite???
44Dave Posted January 6, 2014 Author Report Posted January 6, 2014 And what's the deal with airline food???
unforgiven Posted January 6, 2014 Report Posted January 6, 2014 ^^^^ You stumped me with that one brother Dave. <dontknow>
Matt.Cross Posted January 7, 2014 Report Posted January 7, 2014 And what's the deal with airline food??? A fellow topic-derailer... The force is strong with this one, I can tell.... <laughs>
bubbasks Posted January 8, 2014 Report Posted January 8, 2014 Holy schit, this went sideways... <lmao> Thats what she said. Sideways is always best
392heminut Posted January 8, 2014 Report Posted January 8, 2014 Holy schit, this went sideways... <lmao> And you're surprised? <laughs>
Matt.Cross Posted January 8, 2014 Report Posted January 8, 2014 And you're surprised? <laughs> Tom hasn't learned how to handle a thread derailing when he's not the one at fault.... >:D *ducks and runs* <outtahere>
Rsquared Posted January 8, 2014 Report Posted January 8, 2014 Damn. Talking about coming outta left field?
392heminut Posted January 9, 2014 Report Posted January 9, 2014 Well. I never. Stick around Dave, it's bound to get worse! :threadjack: :hornet:
Rsquared Posted January 9, 2014 Report Posted January 9, 2014 ^^^^ Nothing but the truth spoken there.
