texas30cal Posted February 6, 2014 Report Posted February 6, 2014 I found some for $60/500 I don't expect match accuracy, will be linked up for 1919 ammo, has anyone used them? They are tempting because of the price.
sketch Posted February 6, 2014 Report Posted February 6, 2014 I'm in to the idea but not if damage is caused to the barrel? But they are fun to watch!!
darb Posted February 6, 2014 Report Posted February 6, 2014 I'm in to the idea but not if damage is caused to the barrel? But they are fun to watch!! I had a friend a few months back bought a thousand. He burned through about half and he said only half worked ( the supplier stated they were pulled and not 100% but they were fine for plinking.(no damage to barrel) I do not know the supplier but they were milspec. No I have not used them but I thought I would pass on this tidbit. Good luck
texas30cal Posted February 6, 2014 Author Report Posted February 6, 2014 I would expect that humidity probably gets to them after pulling them down, not a big deal just for plinking with the 1919, I think I will give them a try, just won't use in the dry months!
texas30cal Posted February 6, 2014 Author Report Posted February 6, 2014 I got them, they are at old sarges drop zone, they also have the LC 7.62 nato brass once fired, $70/500 in stock.
Dane Armory Posted February 6, 2014 Report Posted February 6, 2014 Are these the 145gr projectiles in the Federal white boxed ammo ? If so, Yes... Shot one box , sold the rest at gun shows last year.
texas30cal Posted February 7, 2014 Author Report Posted February 7, 2014 Not sure they are pulldowns.
htbde Posted February 7, 2014 Report Posted February 7, 2014 They ruin your barrel, start fires and tell others where you are
Matt.Cross Posted February 7, 2014 Report Posted February 7, 2014 (edited) They ruin your barrel, start fires and tell others where you are We really need a "raining on my parade" smiley around here... ;) ... but I agree with you. I would only use them through a chrome lined barrel in a rifle not intended for distance engagements, underwater in a ghost town. Edited February 7, 2014 by Matt.Cross

blue109 Posted February 8, 2014 Report Posted February 8, 2014 With a bit of luck, his life was ruined forever. Always thinking that just behind some narrow door in all of his favorite bars, men in red woolen shirts are getting incredible kicks from things he’ll never know.
Matt.Cross Posted February 8, 2014 Report Posted February 8, 2014 Is this thread still about tracers?
