D.R.D.
Any idea on pricing? Will it fit both AR10 & DPMS patterns? It's not yet up on the MI site.

No. According to them, the AR-10 patterns will run next, when they've got these DPMS-based ones out.

mineralman55
I like it too. Too bad it's the low profile DPMS style.

Plus they already had the Armalite version…which is the pattern of the forearms on the LAR-8s.
Robocop1051
FWIW... It is VEEEEERRRRRRRYYYYY easy to over tighten this handguard and break it... I did :'( The stupid aluminum is so light that I just kept tightening and tightening, expecting it to come to a stop. I eventually noticed that the little locking lugs that go into the barrel nut had started bending and one had broken off. This is on a .22lr build, so I'm not too worried about it (I also dropped a bunch of $$$ to have it cerkoted to match my receivers). It just sucks that I made such a stupid rookie mistake. That's what I deserve for rushing. <nutkick>
FaRKle!
The instructions were pretty clear to me IMO, when they said 35in-lbs for those hex screws. That comes to just under 3ft-lbs (3lb weight on a 1ft bar). Very easy to go past that. Edited February 10, 2014 by FaRKle!

You DO have a DPMS-based 308. My apologies for heckling you like that. :-[ Okay, back to my normal self now... :fawkdance:

Robocop1051
Nice! I put the 15" on an AR15 a few months ago. I really liked it.
BigP623
Wish it wasnt DPMS pattern I have the same handguard on my AR15 and I love how it looks, wouldnt mind a matching guard on my AR10
skeeter7
I'm assuming any low profile or micro gas block would work okay with this rail, correct? Also, I have the newer low profile DPMS upper so do I just use your standard mid length gas tube for my mid length barrel? I have seen that some are bent and some are straight. Rsquared
A lo-pro block is a lo-pro block. Any should work for what you're looking for. And yes, I would guess that a standard mid-length tube should work fine. But not having one of these rifles......you can't hold my feet to the fire on it.
