Militia

Early last week I had a compulsion to investigate the militia in California, where I is.

What I discovered is that the California State Militia is the largest, best trained Militia in the country. I was very surprised to learn this, Kalifornia?

I went to the CSM website, which is a new site, and read up. I soon signed up as a member of the web site and I was welcomed from the get go from numerous members. I am looking forward to an upcoming "meet & greet". The M&G I think is how your would be local platoon can meet you and actually I think is where new recruits can be vetted. I am recruit status.

I would be a member of the Cal. Central State Militia or CCSM, Bravo Company.

Statewide the organization is currently growing steadily. Patriots who love the Constitution, both men and women, are pissed and I think they are hearing a calling and are finding their way like I did.

I did this on Monday last week and a few days later I caught onto the Bundy incident. Yesterday the Commander of the CSM indicated a record influx of new members over the weekend, 35 new member recruits.

The CSM sent a small contingent of boots to the Bundy incident to observe only. To watch and learn. But everyone else was advised to stay put and "watch and learn".

It is up to everyone what they want to do. I would rather be with a group of trained and coordinated patriots when things accelerate the wrong way so that is a good reason I went thru with this too. I look forward to getting involved with whom would be my team and get training and fit. If not I then who? Just thought I should walk the walk with all the talking I do.

So that's it. Thanks for reading, brothers!

the hard part would be finding the "right" group. I'm sure there are quite a few that you wouldn't really want to associate with. I also know some of the "right" ones don't really advertise for fear of infiltration and rely on recommendations from within for recruitment.

I'm not saying any of this applies to your organization..it sounds large and legitimate, I just know there are quite a few douchy supremacist groups in AZ who gather under the cover of patriot/militia.

Here in Iowa, the State Constitution has no protection for gun ownership or use. We have a law which makes all military training illegal unless approved by the governor. Just from nosing around here and there on the internet, it looks like the Iowa Militia is way underground and maybe has a dozen guys. Iowa doesn't even have NRA shooting competitions.

There's lots of gun ownership, though, and you can figure there's a loaded shotgun near the front door of anyone's house you visit. Or at least you should. But gun ownership is completely taken for granted, it's like like having screwdrivers in your house, big deal, a gun's just another tool.

So I gotta pretty much watch this from the sidelines. Not much going on around here.

While I'd heard awhile back about Arizona forming a state-sanctioned militia (in accordance with the Arizona constitution), I'd not heard anything about it becoming formal.

A couple of articles on the Bundy deal mentioned "The Arizona Praetorian Guard-AZ's Official State Militia"…just looked them up.

I'll Go and meet whoever there is to meet and decide for sure. To join them for training I like. Doesn't mean I'd be a draft dodger if SHTF and I didn't mobilize with them. Idk I'll check them out,

I don't need to hang out with any radicals. But they seem to be all about the constitution and obeying the laws at hand.

Absolutely.

Basic reasoning: take what you want, leave the rest, and don't do/say anything illegal.

If you join the website you can "join" any group in there. The comms area is pretty cool for learning HAM radio stuff.

The WI Information Center has a decent collection of Basic training vids to watch, no commitment or meetings necessary...

Unfortunately Louisiana's law is about the same as Iowa's, you cannot form a militia here. The last time I checked there were a few rag-tag groups, one called itself a "rifle team"

^^^ This, never NEVER! do anything or even talk about doing anything illegal , Always act as if there's a FBI spy/plant among the group and you should be fine.

I may or may not have first hand experience with militia's <dontknow>  >:D

I think anybody that posts here is on a watch list. And I believe we are NOT near the bottom of said list. With 17+ trillion in debt, 40+ million Americans on Food Stamps, increasing food prices, a widening gap between the rich and the poor, and all the corruption in Washington, I'm sure TPTB are watching these boards. There is nothing that upsets TPTB more, than Constitutionally minded people like you and me, owning a hi-cap rifle, and a few hundred rds, or more, of ammo. It just tears them up inside, and that is truly one of the small pleasures in life. ::)
