DNP Posted June 27, 2014 Report Posted June 27, 2014 I knew there was a reason you are the way you are..... Friggin engineers.
LAR8Autoshucker Posted June 27, 2014 Report Posted June 27, 2014 I run a grip pod on mine it's not the most stable but I'll shoot sub moa at 100 off it all day. it's lightning fast and pretty light. It's polymer but very strong especially if you get LE or military model with steel supports in the legs. Spend the money and get the real one though, the cheapo amazon special will break in no time.
Cali_Ed Posted November 4, 2014 Author Report Posted November 4, 2014 After much thought, I think I got a bipod that is to tall at its lowest point 8". What do you guys reccomend should have been one of my questions.
Toolndie7 Posted November 4, 2014 Report Posted November 4, 2014 After much thought, I think I got a bipod that is to tall at its lowest point 8". What do you guys reccomend should have been one of my questions. That was one of the reasons I went with an atlas. I can kick the legs at a 45* and drop the rifle way down on the deck. 8" doesn't seem like a lot but it really is.
blue109 Posted November 4, 2014 Report Posted November 4, 2014 (edited) do you "think" your bipod is too tall? or did you get behind it and it feels too tall. seems 6" to 9" is the Norm, but a 25/30 rd mag will take up alot of room Edited November 4, 2014 by blue109
Toolndie7 Posted November 4, 2014 Report Posted November 4, 2014 I went this route... That a nice looking rifle easy. Now send me that barrel so I can time your muzzle device! those shims drive me crazy
EasyEJL Posted November 4, 2014 Report Posted November 4, 2014 its actually a stainless steel lock washer :D I figure i'll do it right once I replace the barrel with a 16. screw carrying that damn heavy thing around with a 20" barrel on it

When I go to put a bag for the rear of my rifle it's a huge one.

I know the PMag 25 rounder is pretty long .
Cali_Ed Posted November 4, 2014 Author Report Posted November 4, 2014 We are allowed only ten rounders here. It's probably just me then. Just feels tall.im thinking maybe a 4.5-9" will do the trick

EasyEJL Posted November 4, 2014 Report Posted November 4, 2014 It looked a little thick. looks like a wedding band.I couldn't get the crush washer to crush enough and had nothing else with big enough internal diameter to work, so I used that as I didn't feel like waiting. and I just never replaced it. sooner or later :)

I like the GG&G better. It's much easier to use IMO. The Atlas is frustrating for costing as much as it does.
