UTG? I didn't even know they were still in the game?? I missed that... I must've phased out after I read "CMMG".

Midwest Industry has affordable parts that won't wash away in a light rain or weaken in the sunlight.

Yes, you all missed the UTG rail reference.  In his first post.

I'm going all Shibi on you bastards, too...

Doh! Well I already bought it. They claim this rail is USA made, and the AR15 version get's good reviews... so we'll see how the quality is when it comes in.

Received the UTG handguard in the mail today and the quality seems to be pretty good. After doing a quick dryfit, everything fits really well and matches up with the upper receiver nicely. the guard feels really nice in the hand too. I'll post some pics up later tonight.

the UTG "pro" series stuff is made in the US and getting good reviews. not sure who is making it for them. not really my style, since I enjoy spending WAY too much on PRI stuff, but I doubt you will have major issues. not a bad option if you don't feel like spending.

Anybody have experience with Ares Armour? They have a pretty good deal on a BCG and their barrels look tempting. I'm still holding out for black friday deals, but just seeing what else is out there.

UTG has two different classes of gear; they have some that they have made overseas for airsoft, which is to different specs (and the picatinny rails aren't the same, so they're not really cross-compatible), and the stuff they make for actual firearms, which in my experience is actually built quite well, and in the US.  Buying UTG does take a bit more care than buying from other companies that don't make airsoft gear, but I've been pretty happy with the few UTG parts I've picked up.
