  1. Welcome to the forum from Texas.
  2. Welcome from Texas
  3. We need more details. A carbine buffer/receiver extension (buffer tube) does not mean you need a carbine length gas tube. You might, but they are independent of each other. If you post a list of your rifle's current specs and what you are trying to get or change to, it can help to avoid spending money on parts you can't use. 308ARs are not all the same and some part will interchange but many will not.
  4. It sucks to see the past get torn down like that, especially when it has personal meaning.
  5. Nice looking rifle! . When do you get to test it out?
  6. Except they were actual 35mm slides?
  7. Awesome, Bubba! That looks like fun.
  8. @308kiwi - Checking to see how you have been doing lately. Is there any news of the fallout of the ban yet?
  9. I used a Larue MBT2 with the included heavier hammer spring and have had no problems in my x39.
  10. Another thing kids today will never experience is the satisfaction of slamming a phone down to hang up on someone. Cell phones have ruined that.
  11. Didn't want to start a new topic. It wasn't exactly instant, but he got what he deserved. He was a repeat offender who was just released from jail in February. https://www.tampabay.com/florida/2019/04/22/a-florida-mans-car-was-stolen-with-his-son-inside-he-chased-the-car-for-five-miles-then-shot-the-thief
  12. That is what mine likes as well.
  13. 200 rounds of 450 Bushmaster Hornady Black.
  14. That sounds like an awesome day.
  15. It's not 8, but it is more than 6.
  16. At the very top of the page, it is the + sign. I had not used it either until yesterday.
  17. I hope they wear eye protection. I have seen retinal damage from impact of Nerf projectiles. With my professional recommendation given, you are an awesome uncle.
  18. This has not happened in a while that I remember, but I may have figured out why new people had been posting in the contest forum. When starting a new topic on my phone, I noticed something. The continue button is covered when you use the down arrow. When choosing General Discussion, it opens the subforum Contest's (which does not need the apostrophe). Unless you collapse the menu, you cannot choose continue for General Discussion. It will auto-collapse if you choose Contests. This may not be a problem any more. But this could be what was going on when there were several of these in a short time.
  19. What does it say that I watched the whole thing?
  20. It seems to be well made. It's a little on the heavy side. It was almost 5 pounds alone. It will cycle factory rounds with ease so the chamber is smooth. I read that some had burrs and required polishing. The mags I bought at the gun show (no name that I can tell) are a bit tight and difficult to insert when loaded. I'll have to order some better ones.
  21. Your 458 is still .008 bigger.
  22. At least I now have a rifle larger than a 35 caliber. I think that is what @Boot_Scraper said was necessary to call yourself a man.
  23. Here is the result of trying to get @98Z5V to buy a Grendel barrel. I got distracted by a 450 Bushmaster barrel. I resisted until I saw a complete upper at bear Creek armory for $259. Here you can see the 450 bullet next to a 45ACP I won't get to shoot it for a month or so.
