  1. I'm trying to figure out what kind of luck he wants us to wish for him. To get what he wants that he sees there ? To get back without doing mortal damage to his wallet ? <munch>
  2. I saw this on another forum and thought it fit here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZPg9MdN9Gio Note the date
  3. They are in stock again <thumbsup>
  4. Lighter than a PMag ? But can you run over them with a truck, then put it in your rifle and shoot it with no problems ?
  5. The "Partner" who did the actual manufacturing.
  6. I do not own a Hi-Point, but if I found myself with one to defend myself I would not be very worried, people who do own them always say that they are reliable. If however I was in the same situation but with a Raven or Jennings or such, I would be looking for a big stick and a few rocks.
  7. Hogan was the actual manufacturer for POF.
  8. Use the stainless steel media cleaning method and you get clean primer pockets without any extra work.
  9. Seems like every handgun manufacturer except Glock, Kel-Tec and Hi-Point make a 1911 lately. Nice, I was looking at one recently, but favor the internal extractor.
  10. You will be disappointed, no matter who wins. Anyone with class and brains simply cannot be elected. If there even is an election.
  11. When you say tumbler and media, I hope you mean stainless steel :) Here are links to the SSC powders I mentioned http://www.natchezss.com/product.cfm?contentID=productDetail&prodID=DU4007SSC8 http://www.natchezss.com/Category.cfm?contentID=productDetail&brand=DU&prodID=DU7828SSC8&prodTitle=IMR%20Powder%207828%20SSC%208%20# Keg Super Short Cut
  12. If they are ever made for Savage long actions, I will be one of the first in line.
  13. For that kind of money you could have a similar rifle on a Savage action with a first rate barrel and a great scope. Probably have change left for ammo. AICS mags are about $65 for a 5 shot, $84 for a 10 shot.
  14. Do not listen to them about a pool. Do not let your family see anything about a pool until the bobcat is returned and the landscaping is done. On one of the other forums I visit there are page after page of nothing but complaints about how much work maintaining a pool is, which takes time away from shooting and reloading. A fishing pond would be much less work to maintain, but also a breeding place for mosquitoes. Where I live West Nile virus is a real problem.
  15. Watch for wear in your dies, nickel cases are HARD on dies.
  16. A - $1000 B - The melting point C - 71 more years on the market D - Your dog can't eat it. <laughs> <lmao>
  17. Any time you can find it use the super short cut cylindrical powders.
  18. I have worked with titanium a little and 98Z5V is right about that, the current state of machining titanium is about where machining stainless steel was around 1970.
  19. Two and a half years later ? Maybe it's because I live in a cowtown but I smell BS.
  20. Washguy, I'd come and do an intervention, but I'm too busy planning my next build. Sorry, you are on your own.
  21. Really, it is worse than canting the rifle, after all canting is somewhat consistent while looseness is random.
  22. I researched it when I first saw it and Robo has exactly described what it is for. I'm still on the fence about whether I want one. Well OK, whether I want one enough to spend that much. <laughs>
  23. I look at it and think what would I do different in building one. I have the sickness bad, don't I ?
  24. The bolt is what sets the headspace, the carrier has no effect on headspace, so you can change it.
