4064 is a great powder for large cases , I just got done loading 30'06 cases with 49 gr. of 4064 with a 150 gr, SST for a Hunter friend of mine . Play with COL & Primers if you can , I got the best ES & SD with these 30"06 with a Fed . Primer . I read some use a Mag Primer with the big 30'06 case when using the long grain 4064 . I've never tried them in 30'06 or 308 . I get too good of results with std primers .

The video is gone now . I don't think it was a starter pistol , but maybe it was & he was smarter ( well, if you can say that ) then I thought. I have seen H&R break open pistols that have that same Barrel look .

As said in my post above , 308AR components , be it Carbine or Rifle , Armalite rifle /Carbine system or DPMS rifle /Carbine system . Gas Block means nothing , as long as the Barrels Gas Port hole is correct . If using an adj. GB , make sure its adj. correctly .

I vote for a MagPul MOE Rifle stock , I will never install another A2 , the MOE is by far a better stock . I will be replacing the A2 on my 20" with a MOE . I thought the KNS pins were more then $6 , but I don't use them , but they are nice if you want to use them .

I really don't see how you are screwed , your acting ! So , she goes in & spends your ( yours & her's ) $$ , how bad can that be , you get new hardware to play with .

What is the build spec's , Armalite AR 10 type or DPMS type ? They use different length Receiver Extension ( Buffer Tube ) Springs & buffers . Basically use one system or another & you will be fine , as long as the set up consists of 308AR components as per each systems requirements . I have a 16" , rifle Gas system with a DPMS Carbine stock set up & it works fine .

You can cut the spring down a coil or two at a time , trying it with every cut , so as to not cut the spring too short or you can make sure the hole in the grip is clear of debris/burr's or it may be too shallow & can be drilled out deeper , choice is yours on what to do if hole in grip is clear .

My 20" HB is a Krieger/Criterion Barrel before Criterion separated from them & purchased from FA. Mine is a 0.936 Gas block dia. It shoots amazing , heavy as hell , buy shoots better then I will ever be able to .

It was meant to be I guess , I'm more into Stainless Steel Barrels any way & I see that Criterion , will Nitrate one for me in the profile I want , so no problem , I have three of their Barrels on 308AR's & they are top notch in my book .Time to see how there 5,56 ( 223 wylde ) barrels work .

So he cut up a LR PMag to do samples , WTF , I think I would have used the dust cover & the base for the testing , but hay, its his $ & he said he didn't have a 308AR , his loss.

I have had nothing but good products from Tactical Machining & your response is the first I have heard of any issues with their products . They have always quickly answered any info or request I have had about there products . This barrel was probably out of stock & someone wasn't on top of their web sight , I can tell you every time I have been there they were all very busy & its understandable with the way things have been going on for eight or more years .

If I dropped it in the sand down here , I would probably be lose it . Damn , ya learn something new every day around here . It took about ten min. to paint the mags I have

If the 14" was like that Mid wt. I wanted , I might have gone for it , I don't believe in pinning or welding a Muzzle device on a Barrel to make it 16", but I like some beef in my Barrels

His options are limited too , because of low or no stock , so I think we can go a couple more pages I say back order the one that makes you feel all wet inside & be done with it , that way if something comes up , you can just cancel the back order .

It seems I'm not getting one to take a photo of , nor do I care any more , this one filled all the spec's I was looking for , except the single groove thing , which I think is a play on words anyway .
