  1. Its all cool & fun & games till the EMT's show up .?
  2. And that means taking it to the range & actually firing it .?
  3. Its amazing , get into the entertainment industry & they turn your brain into succotash , just so you can get the next gig. I feel for him losing his son that way , but he has turned into just another Bonehead with a mouth .
  4. ? ,LMAO Since they went full bore with DPMS mags , the only difference left is the Firing Pin Spring , & the name , of course ?
  5. Why ? Even Armalite is drifting toward being a DPMS ?
  6. I want to see the video . If it did go down they way he said , there had to be something wrong with the ammo or that particular round .
  7. What ,you've had it a week & you haven't posted photo's yet ? ? We will be waiting for Barrel reviews on your 20" Alex.
  8. There are demential differences of the Bolts ( & Barrel Extensions ) & maybe even the Bolt Carriers , but the two ,most of the time ,don't head space correctly in each others Barrel Extensions . You would have to check head space in your barrel Extension . Not sure about the spring loaded firing pin , others may know here.
  9. This is an 18" Criterion bbl. with rifle gas system & a 12" Hand Guard .
  10. I sent two 20 rd. ,Gen. 3 LR Mags back to Magpul after emailing them with my problems with them & photo's of the problem , or should I say the width problem & got a return #. The mags were hard to insert & even worse to remove & having them loaded was even harder to remove them when trying to clear the rifle from malfunction . Which I think had some thing to do with these two Mags. . I say this because I have two 25 rd. Gen. 3's that work just fine .Not only do they work fine , but they work fine in my infamous CMMG lower Receiver , that will not work with any first gen. PMag . I was impressed that they had made changes in the Gen. 3's as far as how they sit in the Mag well a little higher then the first Gen. LR PMags . With these mags that fit too tight , I had failure to feed as I did with the first Gen mags & when the 25 rounders worked , I figured the two 20 rd. mags fitting tight was probably why they were not working . Well , the Mags came in from FedX this morning , well I should say ,two new mags came today & they fit just fine , now I have to function test them in my CMMG Lower . I see no reason why they shouldn't work , the 25 rounders have no issues . So , thanks for the Magazine replacements , Magpul , I will put them to the test . I have one other thing to say ,but it doesn't have anything to do with Magpul , All the Lancer L7 mags , work flawlessly in this CMMG lower , so I know this Lower has only worked with Steel Mags in the past , now it likes the new generation of Plastic ones also . I just have to make sure no first gen. Mags & it should be fine . If you are not familiar with this Lower , its an early Billet Lower Receiver , made long before a PMag was made for the 308AR's .
  11. DWilson has 10% off his 308 parts ( BCG & such ) , Look in the 308 Parts section or the Coupon section . Use the AR 10 rifle set up for your Receiver Extension & buffer system . What gas system length is that AP 4 BBL.? If its a Carbine , you may want to use an adj. gas block .
  12. DWilson has a 10% off coupon code in the 308parts section , under Wilson BCG , use " 308AR " for 10% off 308 parts .
  13. Its a Beautiful thing .?
  14. I agree , not worth it .
  15. Well if they can't ban them , regulate them out of existence . The flip side is , no gun shop can be blamed for gun violence in SF , Commiefornia sure sucks . http://www.foxnews.com/us/2015/09/24/surrender-san-fran-iconic-last-gun-shop-to-close-over-new-regulations/?ref=yfp
  16. Talk about a bump in the road ! I've hit logs running up on plane before & man , that baby Whale ? is a big bump .??
  17. Interesting , There must be a threshold for Velocity , where that size & make up of Projectile ,would penetrate that plate , range will definitely have an effect . I guess you find that penetration Velocity , you will come up with, range per bbl. length , to penetrate that plate . I think those 308 hits would leave a mark .?
  18. Nice job . I don't normally re-stake the Plunger tube or the Grip Screw bushings , I replace with a new part & as said , use red loc tite . Grip screw Bushings are notorious for stripping out & just spinning on 1911's . Just think , with out the Grip screw bushings , you would be welding (or trying to weld ) up Frames , to re-thread .
  19. I sometimes wonder if it has something to do with the amount of cases done in a batch , also . This last batch only had 50 count of 308's. It may be a combination of things that cause the problem . Like I said , 99% of the time they come out like better than new brass , like your photo . Its got to be something I'm doing or not doing , if no one has had an issue like it .
  20. And people like this vote ! What an idiot or what is he smoking ?
  21. I got the same the other day , trigger is not for me, but man, what a difference them large handles make on a 308AR with a large scope , all three of my 308AR's have one on them now & I only have one AR 15 with out & that because I have a NP3 charging handle to match the NP 3 Upper receiver .
  22. Whats up with the notch cutout in that one hand guard vent or is that an optical illusion ? I like the color too .
  23. I didn't know this rifle was available in those calibers . I read 6.5,243 & 308 . http://www.ruger.com/micros/rpr/models.html
  24. I have one of each , "K" & no "K" , the one with out the "K" was a complete lower assembly , the one with the "K" was a stripped Lower . Need to know if it was a DMPS Factory rifle or a build . Its short stroking with lighter loads , can be several things . -Not enough lubrication on a new rifle or Build , - Rough or tight chamber , -Gas Block incorrectly positioned or not sealing, -Gas port in Barrel , not large enough . -Carrier Key loose or not sealing , -Something in Buffer system not to spec., And the list can go on .
