I have a couple Ejector springs if you need one .

You can probably shoot sub sonic 110 gr.. I think Sub Sonic with most Rifle bullets ,you will get over penetration in a White Tail Deer , not enough Velocity to expand the bullet in soft tissue . You may also run the chance that the Bullet passes right through & the Deer doesn't drop like a stone , because of lack of expansion , runs off & leaves no blood trail . Head shots ? I've taken to 110 gr. Hornady V-max or the Barnes 110 gr. , I have seen videos of what they can do, but have not had the chance to put them through the paces myself , but will some day , its on my bucket list .? I thought I saw a Barns 90 gr .load , with I think Zinc as a core , that speeds along at over 2500 fps. for the 300 BLK. ?

If your BCG is moving the Buffer off the retaining pin ,when closing the Upper Receiver onto the Lower receiver when the bolt is in locked breach , there should be no way the Buffer is causing the Retaining pin to bend . Is the Barrel Nut tightened to spec's ? We have seen a lot of this condition here & it still may be your problem , but & I mean But , Those rifles we have seen having this issue , have all had the correct components installed . The position of the Retaining pin or Tolerance Stacking , by not using the same Manufacturers Upper & Lower Receivers or an odd ball BC length are possible , but with out the proper components in the rifle , it could be doing things we can only guess at . The Buffing system is one issue with this rifle ,that ,from the data you gave us ,is not correct & that's fact , anything else has to be proven to be a contributing or causing ,factor . I have a Carbine 308 Buffer here if you want it & may have a STD AR 15 Carbine Receiver Extension somewhere also for you , your spring sounds correct for a 308 Carbine , so all you need is the Tube & Buffer , you want them PM me .

He already said the buffer is being moved by the BCG & if you look at what he has for his Buffer system , there are some wrong miss matched components .?

Bar fight , nothing to see here , move along. I'll bet Alcohol , the most abused drug in the world , had something to do with it . -
I would assume its reads DPMS on them & don't recall ever seeing a DPMS stamped Lower with Multi on it . Of course ,That's assuming it does read DPMS on the Lower Receiver . Maybe someone built one like the DPMS Oracle & said its a DPMS type Receiver , built like an DPMS Oracle . Or a DPMS Oracle complete Upper assembly & a 308 Multi , on the Lower from another manufacturer

Probably not all in the name , but close . R & D probably had something to do with the price . I still have almost all the HD T-shirts that people have bought or gave me over the years & I would never buy one . Besides , almost all of the T's are Black & I don't wear that color in this heat & Sun , so they sit I'm my drawer , like a safe Queen .??

Nice ! Free makes it even better . -
I don't think they recommend " Match "Bullets for hunting because they have a thicker Jacket & will not expand in game , they are not designed to expand , even at close range . If you think the Amax blows apart in game , you should try the SST's , they leave a nasty hole going in & a really really big hole exiting , in white tail Deer .

The Receiver Extension doesn't look right also , that ramp or anti tilt extension on it, is in a strange position . The anti tilt ramp should have a cut out for the Retaining pin & its position should be lined up in such a way that the Collapsible Stocks guide & latching area would be in line . That one looks odd. We have seen Receiver sets not made or designed to work with all others , its why we use the Term " Tolerance Stacking " . If your BCG is not pushing the Buffer back a little , your Buffer will , as said , beat up the Retaining pin & the Buffer face . We have been through this before , get your Buffer system with the correct parts , be it a DPMS or a complete AR 10 systems & if you still have a problem with the Retaining pin , you can go to a Tubb's Bolt Carrier weight system to add some length to the BCG to push back the Buffer, off the Retaining pin . I would start as said , with the correct Buffer system & see how she works , I think you will find the action will work much better . You say the rifle shot fine with a std gas Block , then you installed an Adj. gas block & you started to have function problems ? Have you adj. it correctly ? The bending of the Retaining pin may have took a while to beat it up .

Interested in 308 only .? -
Just what we need , another proprietary 308AR . More duel Ejector's, wtf ? The price is in line with the top line 308AR's , nice rifle , but so are the others . I just don't think another proprietary rifle is needed , I'm sure its made better , its why its proprietary . I'm sure they know more then me about the market for 308AR's , but I don't see them selling large numbers of these rifles .

Thats a lot lube !?

I would like to see a photo of the Receiver Extension ( Buffer tube ) & the Lower receiver where they meet the Retainer pin . - 7.75" is a little long for a DPMS Receiver extension , 7" is normal & DPMS type rifles take a std AR 15 Carbine Extension (Tube ) which is normally 7" -29 coils is what I have for a 308 Carbine spring & normally around 11 1/4- 11 1/2 , so your not far off there - a DPMS Carbine buffer is only 2.5" long & aprox. 3,325 oz. , you have a AR 15 one , it looks like. Some use Armalite AR 10 Buffer system in their DPMS rifles & you could have some of its components in there , but the spring . Others here that use that system ( it uses the AR 15 Buffers ) can say more about it . I don't use that system on my DPMS rifles , myself . I would also like to see a photo of the BCG in breach locked position & how far it prudes from the Upper Receiver , with the Upper Shot Gunned , so we can see it from the side & back , please

Well , I believe what ever the Armed forces have is ours any way , so all we have to do is take what ever we want , if we need it . We paid for it , not the Government ! I alway hear the LE guys say , good luck with having a fight with LE & I can say I don't want one , but they are used to over whelming adversaries , always a PD & their special ops force against one or two individuals , Ya they will win every time ,what do you think the out come would be with a thousand or ten thousand , Armed American Citizens & don't think for a minute it can't happen . How would a military base handle that situation ? Just my two . Buy the way , I asked my local, fun shop owner , who has some very good connections , about a price & availability of one of the Rugers , haven't heard from him yet , but I left the message for him Monday ( he was out of town ), so I should hear by the end of the week . -
Are they that GOOD, that BAD, or that SCARCE?
survivalshop replied to jcw556's topic in General Discussion
I can see the use of a railed gas block in certain circumstances , but ya , why partially under the rail one ? That JP Hand Guard has the ability to have a full rail ( about $ 95, I have two ) & shorter rails that can be added to the Hand Guard , so why the Railed Gas block ? It may be enough to put a BUIS on , but why . Is that made on the GII Receivers ? -
? RIP

Like was said , they may not be made in any kind of great production numbers & the ones out there are being kept to use , so there may not be much on the Net for sale . Hard to say for sure . Hope you find one & welcome . -
Oh come now , thats a whole two ounces heavier ! You also have an ordinary Cam Pin , not a roller Cam Pin , which has to add another gram or two . Yes, I'm being sarcastic ?
-
I would scrap that Trigger first ( and I mean in the trash ), you have no idea what someone messed with . If your at a range & the rifle goes full auto & if someone is there, that is not understanding to your situation , you could have legal problems . Plenty of good trigger systems ( FCG ) out there , the MechArmor is a very good single stage trigger & then there is Geissele , just about any kind or configuration with them , just on the higher end , price wise . I have both & like both.

Obvious difference between AR10/LR BCGs
survivalshop replied to blue109's topic in General Discussion
AMF saved HD from extinction , they purchased HD in 68-69 , the Cone type Shovel bottom end was already on the drawing board & I have had many AMF HD's & ran the snot out of them with little problems . Yes they leaked oil ,but those problems were eventually solved , one being a extra seal on the Main drive gear for the main shaft in the transmission , the bushing alone was not a very good seal & since all HD's back then were vented to the atmosphere ( to the ground ) the vent always dripped a bit also . now they vent directly into the air cleaner . I like them all , not all the modern configurations , but I'm kinda partial to the older ones , like this one I just sold & is back in my garage for the sheet metal to be removed for the new owner to have re-painted. -
I would not expect the taper pin holes to line up with the set screws on the block , but you never know .
