  1. What is the problem you think you have with your primed LC brass ? You say you don't like the looks of it , post a photo ?
  2. Isn't that normal there ? <lmao>
  3. Maybe just a weak pin & torquing the Barrel nut snapped it <dontknow> Strange , for sure , I've never seen one broken . I have seen them come out , but not broken .
  4. Not yet , I may tomorrow when I go to the range & continue testing the 18" build . I just loaded up a batch of Hornady 155 Amax's , which I didn't have loaded last session .
  5. Stop it , your scaring me ! <laughs> I would think there is something to them saving my face photo ,with out my permission & using it in some kind of data base or program, any more than you can use anyones photo with out their permission , legally . WE are dealing with the GOV. though , so they think they can do what ever they want .
  6. https://www.botach.com/lancer-l5awm-translucent-opaque-magazines-6-pack/ They only had 30 rounders in Foliage color & some 20 & 10 round colors , not much of a choice , but I don't care what color they are . Mine shipped yesterday so should be here soon .
  7. Looking at the Photo , unless it has a thread protector , I don't see a threaded barrel for a Muzzle device <dontknow>
  8. Those Alignment Pins are usually a light press fit & the fix above is probably what ADCo will use . They may also have an alignment jig set up to re-drill the old broken pin out & make a custom fit one . I certainly would not operate an AR type rifle with out that alignment pin , There is no way I would trust just the Barrel nut to keep the Barrel from rotating . Even a slight rotation , would keep the Bolt from locking or cause damage to those components . Kinda makes one wonder why it broke ? I think the Glue method is promising <lmao>
  9. Trail. = Trials , I believe is what he meant . the" out of stock "was a jab at DPMS .
  10. I liked the Lancers so much , I ordered a six pak of their 5.56 mags & a friend of mine ordered two six paks at the same time . Six for $ 55.00 . The last time I looked , they got more 308 mags in stock , at the four for $ 99.00, may have to order more . I'm with 98 , these may be the only mag Brand I purchase any more & its not like I need any more , but them working in the CMMG lower is a deal breaker .
  11. Interesting , what kind of degree do you need to operate that stock <laughs> Nice looking rifle , what kind of price are they going for ?
  12. I think Robo , pretty much summed it up & with great style . I think I pissed my Depends <lmao>
  13. Politicly Correct ! I don't buy anything from them , My wife will shop at there grocery part of some things , but I won't ! I don't even like going in there !
  14. Pushing the Bolt Catch into lock manually is not the same as the Mag follower doing it . He has a non standard component in the mix , is why I asked to begin with . With the follower at the top of the mag , there is not much spring pressure to lift the Bolt Catch & it will not take much to keep the Catch from being raised far enough to catch the Bolt Face & it can slide right over it . <dontknow> But , hay , drill out the Gas port , but first I would take a measurement to see what it is now , before its made bigger . <dontknow> Have fun <thumbsup>
  15. That's what you think , I retired & work more now , then when I worked , there's always something needing fixing or doing <laughs>
  16. True statement there <thumbsup>
  17. The H3 can work , I think most use it because of the weight , the Buffer is one of the components you can tweak to make the Buffer system more efficient .Thats why some go with the Armalite system . Others may confirm , but the Vltor uses the AR 10 system , I'm not familiar with their system , they do have one odd ball system out there , don't remember the name of it , but I have no experience with it , but others here may know of it & may use it . The UTG , I have no idea what it takes . Here again , other here will know .
  18. Maybe you can change that ! <thumbsup> Boss ,we need some 308AR parts in stock , I have a list . <thumbsup>
  19. What if that lever is interfering with the Bolt Catch function in some way, how else you going to know that if you don't try the rifle with a Standard Bolt Catch . Not saying thats the issue , but with out swapping it out to try , you may go through a lot of hoops & still have the issue . Stick with the simple stuff first . You say DPMS Buffer assembly , are you sure its all 308 Components ? Measure the spring & how many coils , Buffer length & weight . Some DPMS Barrels are known to have tight Chambers & or are rough & some need to be polished as to release the spent case , a rough chamber will slow the Extraction down & can cause the same problems you are having .
  20. I agree , to set up my other Chrono. & get it leveled & aligned, takes about 15 -20 min. ( you have to assemble it , put it on a Tripod & do all the Aligning ), this set up , maybe 5 min..
  21. You can also use a Thread Pitch gage before you try assembly . I would think one would notice , as you did , that the Barrel Nut did not start or thread correctly & not try to force it .
  22. What was switched out originally , just the stock or the Receiver Extension ( Buffer tube ) , Buffer & spring ? What stock ? Rifle or ADj.? As said , there are several ways to change out 308AR Buffer systems , 1- DPMS 308AR , Carbine Buffer /Spring with any AR 15 Carbine Receiver extension ( just remember the MilSpec & Commercial outside tube diameter differences ) 2- DPMS 308AR , Rifle Buffer /Spring with AR 15 Rifle Receiver Extension 3- AR10 (Armalite ) Carbine Buffer /Spring ( AR 15 H.Buffer ) AR10 Carbine Receiver Extension 4- AR10 ( Armalite ) Rifle Buffer /Spring , AR 10 Rifle Receiver Extension . Basically if you keep to those parameters , they will be to spec's. & work correctly . Of course some other after market components can be substituted as long as they conform to the system being used .
  23. All the above & does a std Bolt Catch work in the rifle ? Not the Phase 5 assembly ,a standard Bolt Catch assembly. One other thing , builders have been having problems with Aero's Buffer system that they sell , so what system you have may be important .
  24. ? I can tell already the 18" I got from you is showing signs of being another great Barrel , like my other two . Thanks & I do like the Nitrated Barrel .
  25. Nice , I would be jealous too <thumbsup>
