Why not Mortar the rifle , to eject , just make sure, if its equipped with a collapsable stock , that is collapsed all the way , before you do it . Head Space needs to checked , as said . What does the Barrel read , as far as caliber ? What 7.62x51 ammo are you using ? What 308 ammo ?

Yep , my first choice , but not if its made over seas . I have a Vltor on my 300BLK & it works just fine . I find it hard to believe the Geissele isn't made in the USA. It would surprise me if it wasn't .

I've known that about most of the 5.11 stuff for quite a while . I believe you may be right about the Gas Blocks , but you never know now a days . I wanted to try the Geissele out after 98's review . I will look deeper into it , since I just ordered something that will keep me from ordering anything else this month & my Barrel from Special Ops Weaponry hasn't shipped yet , so may wait till it gets here . Maybe by then I will know more about where the GB's are made .

I was just about to order a Geissele gas block & as usual I hit the special filters for "made in USA , well the Geissele is not on the list & the Vlltor, which was my second choice , didn't show up also . Could these be made over seas or is it that they were just missed labeled & are made in the USA ? Shopping at Brownells of course .

I'l bet the BCG was on the expensive side .I don't know exactly what making one with that material would cost , but probably worth the price of some AR's.

Wonder how a heavier barrel would have done . I have never cared for the M4 configuration. It was funny when the Muzzle device blew off , did it expand enough to just come off or did the threads weaken ? After watching the gas tube glow when firing , I thought it would be the first to go . Probably there was a bullet that got stuck in the barrel & thats where it blew & the bullet could have blown out with the gas pressure . The infamous " Mad Min. " in Nam , was one of the reasons they went to a heavier barrel , ( from the Pencil Barrel ) & three shot burst control .Wonder what the out come would be with the three shot burst control in there ? Another thing about this test , it looked fairly cold for the test , what would be the outcome if temp. was in the 90's ? I also think if the chamber or something blew out & took out that Class Three lower , someone would have been heart broken .

Who makes their Bullets ? Them ?

I see the advantages of a high powered cartridge with large capacity magazine in CQB ( room clearing ), but how you shoot at 200 yards with a brace or sling , with out a shoulder/cheek weld , to me ,doesn't seem like this would be very effective . No doubt the cartridge will make it that far & beyond .

You could be binding the scope in some way . Are the Warne rings you have, have the split vertically ? I would remount & make sure they are torqued to the Manufacturers spec's & alternate the tightening sequence & tighten in steps of different torque setting till you reach the torque spec. Of all the scope rings I have installed , the Warne is the trickiest to assemble , but are solid rings . I have them on several scopes . Could also be a problem with the scope , e-mail or call Vortex & see what they have to say .

I agree , you can't have a limp hold on any semi-auto . I'm not all that familiar with the Buffer's used in AR-10's , but don't they come with a H2 Buffer ? <dontknow>

He just about became just another bone head in the ER with that first jump . Have you looked at the stock price of one of those ? He has some $$$ in that quad .

This is a Pistol build right , I can see why you would you want a Match Barrel, but how far do you plan on shooting this Pistol ? A good shooting barrel at half the price , in 308 , at extended pistol ranges , would work just fine . ( unless to take your Sig brace & put it up to your shoulder , which you would be committing a Felony doing , unless you had an SBR stamp <dontknow> ) I really don't know what people expect out of a Pistol build AR or what can be accomplished with them . I have never been interested in building one , myself .

Are you going to work on this rifle or leaving it to the GS ? If not tell him to just lubricate it good & shoot more good ammo ,to let it break in , it is a Build rifle . I have a CMMG 308 lower that will not function reliably with PMags , Steel mags work fine .

Are these Muzzle devices ID bored the same as the barrels bore /caliber , because that would be the only way I can see they could seal enough gas from bypassing around the bullet exiting the barrel . Like I said , if there is an increase , its not much .

I figured it world have some weight & luckily for me I don't have to wear any type of Armor daily . I am more worried about any kind of Ban on Armor & the climate through out the world & I think I have put it off for too long . I can put down my Alice Web gear & go to MOLLE , which after watching some Videos , looks like a cool set up . Old dog , new tricks . I think I will order the Carrier kit this week & wait for the side panels . If I need it before I get the side panels , I'll just keep my Enemies in front of me ! <lmao>
