Isn't this the same guy that shot himself in the head with a steel ball when it bounced back on him ?

Geissele Super Modular MK8 Rail
survivalshop replied to 98Z5V's topic in Firearm Industry News and Gossip
Interesting stuff . I have been looking at the Geissele rails lately , among others , but all that Titanium stuff is different . Why is the Amalgamated upper receiver more expensive that the lower receiver , by fifty bucks ? Both look & read , stripped to me . -
Just remember when you spread it apart , do it a very little at a time , just enough to make it snug . The tip that you spread has to go through to the other side , so it will expand once it gets through one side of the retaining pin hole , then it has to penetrate into the far side of the hole in the carrier . If you get it too wide , they are very difficult to close back down . I use a pocket knife blade , its wedged shaped & thin taper , just don't cut yourself.

I have the reverse & they fit & look just fine .

Comparing LR-308 Lowers
survivalshop replied to MikedaddyH's topic in DPMS Panther Arms LR-308 | Bushmaster 308
Is this the lowers co..? http://www.tacticalriflesar15.com/ar10-308-lower-receivers.html I would stay with the same brand upper /lower receivers . I have seen too many problems when mixing uppers & lowers with different brands/manufacturers . Sure some work fine , but some mixing doesn't. I have read where some builds are not making through some carbine courses, but factory rifles do & maybe this may could be part of there problem. -

The 65 has been a work in progress for years & I am too old to lean forward with forward foot pegs & controls . The new Bad Boy Handle bars will let me sit more upright . My extended brake line will be here today . Photo's suck , but the idea is how the handle bars changed. before after

The above thumbnail is why these people want them out of our hands ! We can't or they can't make us , be part of the New World Order .

The AR 15 family , ( as far as forged receivers , not sure how Billet receivers fair ) they are all MilSpec. & have a excellent chance of matching up functionally . I would not interchange 308 AR Manufacturers uppers & lowers & its not just an Armilite ,DPMS thing , I have seen that tolerance stacking can interfere with proper function , when using different manufactures for the Receivers, just my experience. Too many fix's tweaks or things just not working , when they do in other rifles with matching components. I even do the same with my AR 15 builds now , I stay with the same manufacturer Upper & Lower Receivers. <dontknow>

Looks like a non-secure holster -- or not?
survivalshop replied to gnatshooter's topic in Concealed Carry
To be honest , I was pretty much dead on the Operating table (that's a whole story in its self ) Sure , maybe he got off a lucky shot & hit the right place. Same could be true if he hit a major Artery with that little pill , but that was not my point in telling my story , its that any gun shot with any caliber can be deadly . I could only guess at the outcome of any other caliber, sure you can say this one or that one would have" kelt my dead" , but there are too many factors involved to say one way or the other . I did read some where , where the .38 cal. was used in more deadly (death ) shootings than any other caliber , but that may be because it has been used longer & more often. We are not talking military combat shootings , these are civilian shootings. For all the hype on the .40 cal. , from what I have been reading , its not the man stopper its all cracked up to be , but it is still early in its statistical data gathering . -
Its a perfect example , but they don't want you to know that or associate O'Buttheadcare with it . I put this in the joke of the day section ,but think its appropriate here , now .

2,700 Pages of Obama Care in 4 Sentences 1. In order to insure the uninsured, we first have to un-insure the insured. 2. Next, we require the newly un-insured to be re-insured. 3. To re-insure the newly un-insured, they are required to pay extra charges to be re-insured. 4. The extra charges are required so that the original insured, who became un-insured, and then became re-insured, can pay enough extra so that the original un-insured can be insured, free of charge to them.

The story reads that the shooters came in contact with a CC individual , did this person engage the shooters ? These two were young , seems to me all these shooters are mostly young , like this incident , something strange going on. Then it reads , the male shooter said he was kicked off the Bundy ranch , & they used a "don't tread on me " flag or something to drape across the slain LEO"s . Sounds like a propaganda treasure trove for the Anti's . I really don't trust the news media for factual information & if its not true , you will never see a them correct it .
