High version , pre 2009 , low version post 2009 , as far as DPMS LR 308's are concerned . Why PSA went to the older rail height of the DPMS LR 308 , is anyones guess . I know when DPMS did it in 2009 , a bunch of manufacturers were real slow to make Hand Guards with the newer lower rail height . It is said it was to co witness the Iron Sights like the AR 15 , because the Pre 2009 rear sight was a little higher , because of the rail height& some had issues with sighting them in & they needed a taller front sight post . Any more , you can find both rail heights in Hand Guards . Now , what I don't know is if PSA will match up to anyone else's , some of their stuff has been proprietary .

Looks like its shorter gas tube length then the Pistol length in the photo's of the different gas system lengths . Must be an optical illusion . I don't shoot subs or suppressed , so I can say what will work with he 300BLK in those conditions , all I can say is my 16" with carbine gas system works fine with 110gr. to 150 gr. bullets & I don't have gas tube fires , thats a new one on me . Hope it works as advertised for those who have this issue .

Might be an issue if you running a taper pinned A2 front sight , other then that , just make sure if your purchasing a Fee Float hand guard with a Rail , you order the correct one to match your Receivers rail height.

Have you looked through the two scopes for a comparison ? https://www.natchezss.com/p-308-4-12x40-matte-bdc800.html , the other models are out of stock .

I ordered the Sinclair concentricity gage from Brownells with the Dial indicator , it was on sale for $ 99.99 & free shipping . The reviews read that the Dial Indicator is Chinese , but I have a good one to replace it with if I don't like it & if it fits . Curiosity is not cheap sometimes .

You gave your bid , now its our turn .

What do you have , model , manufacturer , etc .?

I have never found a thing wrong or a Blemish on one & I have got a lot of them in the past , but of course if any of you'all buy one it will probably screw up The refurbished are the only ones I pick up any more , if I'm getting a Nikon . They come in a White Box & have a 90 day warranty , never needed to send one back yet & I have several on my 12 ga. Slug guns .

I have had & still have a bunch of Scopes from Nikon that are refurbished , most are from display & the Factory goes over them . I have never had an issue with one .

That was for Christians , the Mooselimbs were not effected ! Quote '"There were no such protests when former President Obama restricted Christian refugees from entering the U.S. from Syria, Egypt, Pakistan and other Muslim countries."

Wiggles may not be the correct word for it . The Case , be it inserted into the Die for sizing or retracted after sizing , is under a bit of pressure , less on retraction , but still under pressure , add to that that the inside of the Neck of the casing is actually being finished sized on retraction of the case from the Die . Wiggles may sum it up in a way , but more likely its a realignment of the case or with the floating Shell Holder ,permitting realignment , where as a fixed secure or locked in Shell Holder , its not permitted to do this aligning & any out of alignment of the case , its being forced through it . If you have a Dillon , with the Tool head , you will notice ( maybe by design ) that the whole Tool Head floats & may accomplish the same thing as a floating Shell Holder , with an added benefit of all processes , be it sizing , Seating of the Bullet or what ever form of Crimping is done . I wasn't going to purchase a concentricity gage , but may now , just to see if the case is formed abnormally in some way . The one I 'am looking at is the Sinclair one . I have a couple extra Dial indicators & this can be purchased with out one , for less $$.

Extra velocity , extra pressure , decreased barrel life , always a trade off . Use 6.8 specific Mags , might as well go with the 6.8 . I see some long range shooters liking it , keeping the .22 cal..

Interesting results with my experiment , here's what I did. As per above Post , I removed the spring clip that held the Shell Holder in a locked position in the Pacific Press & replaced it with an O-Ring . Took three LC 308 Brass cases , three of each , 2006,2010& 2011, measured each one ( there were some differences in the Unsized case years )& marked the bottom of the case with I, II & III , sized the # I's in the MEC press & the # II's in the Pacific Press , (now with the Shell holder loose to move a little ). Now ,No measurable difference in size length from one press to the other , this is with the same Bushing Sizing Die & same Shell holder . I took the sized cases from the MEC press & re-sized them in the Pacific Press & this time , no case got longer ! Theory ; the locked in Shell holder some how , by locking the case in the Press ram , it must not be aligned with the Sizing Die & sizes the case differently , by around 0.003" , on my testing anyway, on the comparison Pacific Press I have . Now it may not be much , but two things come to mind , one - if its sizing differently , how ? At an angle & two- Brass life has to be longer if its not being stretched by sizing it needlessly by misalignment . That brings up something else , if it is misaligned , in what way & does it effect how it sits in the Chamber , is the case deformed enough to cause the Bullet to be angled in such a way as to no hit the Lands or Forcing cone or Lead dead center ? I was going to use a larger test count , but after this , I don't think it will make a difference . That article about getting rid of the locked in Shell Holder was dead on , I can't believe just having slop in the Shell holder would have made any difference .

8 x 42 will work , but its not a spotting scope , but is better then nothing . I got the wife the higher end Burris 8x42 for bird watching & they are very good , crystal clear .

If you remember , I had a CMMG that would not work reliably with first PMags, worked fine with any metal mag & the Lancer's , until they came out with the Gen 3 & it worked . This is the trouble with no 308AR spec's thats industry wide . Did you try the Armalite A Bolt Stop ?

ATF scumbags at it again

Starting that video in the link , froze my laptop up , got a blank screen & had to restart to get it to work again , I don't want to see it that bad
