  1. They have some good bullet prices ( well maybe the Bullets I'm looking at ), if I had the $$ to purchase the Company , I sure wouldn't be asking here about if they are OK to deal with. They show multiple Warehouses , have to be in more then one location , maybe not .

    HIPERFIRE

The Rough Justice has the fastest reset I have ever used , so far . I had some at the Range think I had a full auto . Though the RJ that was being sold by MechArmor is basically the same as the CMC , I would purchase another in a heart beat . The Elftmann is a little pricey & may be worth it , comparable to Geissele. I think the Modular FCG's have an edge over even the Great Geissele , because tolerances can be kept for Sear engagement . With AR lowers & I don't care who makes them or what caliber , the Hammer & Trigger pin holes can be a little off from Receiver to Receiver & that is not good for Sear engagement geometry , so from one Receriver to another , the performance of the engagement surfaces can be different .
  3. Any reviews , or done business with them ?
  4. Hodgdon Has come out with an interesting Powder for the BLK & a couple others . https://www.hodgdon.com/cfe-blk/

    HIPERFIRE

Isn't the Hyperfire a single stage & the Geissele a two stage ? I have found that the Modular FCG's have a much better reset then any std type AR FCG , must be in the mechanic's of the two systems .
  6. Well said Matt., It was brought on discussion & I ,as others, have given not only opinions , but some clear facts & I personally am not attacking anyones idea's , but pointing out that , in this case , a more scientific approach has to be provided to show results . This may be a helpful idea for Target/Match rifles & as said in your case you believe in it , nothing wrong there .
  7. Yes, the FP Spring is a Armalite AR 10 proprietary set up .
  8. I forgot about that movie That Deer they hit scene was funny as hell .
  9. No Who the Fuk wants mini 12ga. , sissy's ?
  10. First , what kind of T-Bone are you talking about , looking in the Butchers A$$ & what are you eating Lets get to facts here , The Bullet is almost , if not out of the Barrel before the Bolt unlocks from the Barrel extensions locking lugs , so how does this modification effect accuracy ? Certainly not because of alignment of the Bolt in the Locking Lugs of the Barrel extension , unless you have improper Head Space & even then they would still lock the Breach , never mind what the case may do & that may effect accuracy , but has not one thing to do with the Bolt or its alignment . This Rings offer many benefits to a Service Rifle , one , the are a wear item & inexpensively replaced , two , they too help alignment of the Bolt in the Carrier when Action is fouled , three, they do seal gas signature for proper timing . You say your machined to 0,001" clearance , how exactly do you think that that Machined area that has only 0.001" clearance is not contacting the internal bore in the BC for the Bolt ? Does the rest of the Bolt , Cam Pin & front alignment ring ( Front of the Bolt ) also have the same fitment ? You can see the forward Wear ring in photo below , its shinny from wear .
  11. Nice . Ammo choices ?
  12. Quote , " At this point , what difference does it make " Even Hitlery had historic input. I would as said , inspect the Ejector & Extractor assembly's , for burr's or debris in the Bolt where the fit . I have seen Extractors that hold onto the Case too long cause the same type of issues .
  13. I also Carry a Kahr PM 45 & have an extra mag in the conceal holster that has a extra mag pouch built in . Its has a heavier feel then the Shield , as it should have with the 230gr, Ball . The Shield just feels so much better with nine rounds , thats three more then I can get in the PM45, tis why the extra mag
  14. Do the Fusion rounds have a heavy Crimp ?
  15. I have been carrying my 9mm Shield more then my other carry guns lately .
  16. I removed the spring clip that holds the Shell holder in my Pacific Press & replaced it with an O-ring , as was in an article I posted a while back & man did it give that Shell Holder some play , about the same as the MEC Press . I have some photo's , but will include them in a new Thread with the outcome of the comparison between the two Presses to see if the loose type Shell holder , is why the Cases stretched less .
  17. Let us know how well it shoots
  18. Criterion makes a Chrome Molly Barrel with Chrome lining & they say their Chrome Lining method , does not effect accuracy . As said , I have two SS Barrels with out the Nitrate treatment & they shoot better then I can any day. Had an 18" I sold that was the Hybrid contour ,SS with the Nitrate treatment & it sure was easy to clean . Faxon is regarded highly here .
  19. I thought we addressed this already , in this thread .
  20. Compare this design to any straight slide over feed action . Look at the complexity of the feeding system on this Pistol . The 1911 style ( like 99.9% of the Pistols out there ) with its slide stripping a fresh round is an almost 100% reliable feeding system , with little moving parts . & there is nothing wrong with carrying a Revolver . I think the issues with most pistols of the 1911 type today is ( & its not the factory design ) its because we went from a Gunsmith orientated industry on the most part , to a mass produced environment , not good for Firearms in general .
  21. An added inch of bbl. , to me , is not with the risk of the potential feeding issue . That's a complex design & is probably why I don't have wood over it . Me , I like the KISS principle.
  22. Interesting feeding system , but why ? , Added moving parts to make it special ? I also think its one fugly looking pistol . Just not my cup of coffee .
  23. I have always thought about a timer , but since when wet tumbling with SS media take three hours & the fact I would probably forget to set the timer , I just keep an eye on the clock . This time I fell asleep , my bad , I shouldn't have put them in so late for an old man .
  24. Another article , with photo's http://www.foxnews.com/tech/2017/01/20/army-picks-sig-sauers-p320-handgun-to-replace-m9-service-pistol.html
  25. I kinda like the Striker fired Pistols , I have a half doz. of them ., but also like my 1911 .
