    guessing SI Defense....
  7. seems like it should be able to withstand a week of AZ climate without rusting. AUS8 should be pretty equivalent to 440c if I'm not mistaken
  8. a side bonus to the 1911 is that you can only shoot one or two brands of ammo...leaving more for the plastic guns.
  9. this thread is "mostly" useless, but entertaining nonetheless. I appreciate it.
  10. seriously...this thread makes me hurt for you...but it will work out. gotta keep on keepin on.
  11. hey shib...if you look at his picture he doesn't have a railed gas block. he needs a whole new setup and also...no airsoft sights!
  12. you might be wrong...knowing Drew, it might just be detachable
  13. give me a 50" barrel and a .308 and ill F(class)UCKIN shoot circles around any of you jokers! oh yea...I did.
  14. the newer DPMS 308s have the same receiver rail height as a standard AR15, so any clamp on front sight that fits the barrel should be ok. if you want a standard FSB type, the clamp on armalite fsb is nice and only $40. (doesn't come with sight post/spring though)
  15. same here. well, definitely not $50,000 anyway.
  16. nice find! I wanted one of those! jacot23...these uppers have no provision for a FA or dust cover so you can't add one. I personally have no need for either, but that's personal preference.
  17. it doesn't matter what you stick it on. you can screw the extension into your riding lawn mower. the part was built to a specification....military specification...it is milspec. it is not milspec TO anything. the rifle is a pile of parts. those parts may or may not fall under any specification. its not an all or nothing package deal. ETA this argument would be valid if someone were asking about a milspec 308 BCG or barrel nut
  18. never once have I cleaned a gas tube....
  19. but the op asked about a milspec part...not a milspec rifle. most likely because he has a milspec stock, that fits a milspec tube. by boldly dismissing anything MILSPEC when the 308 is involved, you are just confusing the issue for noobs. hence my clarification. a milspec AR15 extension is correct on a 308ar, with the proper 308 specific buffer and spring allowing any milspec sized stock to be used.
  20. ^saved. lol
  21. so does a milspec extension cease to be milspec once it is installed on a 308?
  22. I can't imagine anything going wrong...
