^^^ I would concur with your observations brother. At a hunters Ed class an instructor pulls out his pistol chamber was empty, and tries to show how he could rapidly pull the slide and chamber a round. He failed to properly execute the move and all I could think of was "you are dead". I said " and that's why you have your pistol ready when seconds count". Now mix a striker fire with appendix carry, what could go wrong. Sadly many people still don't secure firearms at home. Just my 2 mags.

I was remiss in not giving the late great Dr. Alan Murphy an honorable mention. His surgery procedure of using the Achilles tendon to lift the foot was revolutionary at the time. All those kids he enabled to walk was amazing. Walking on concrete is hard on the body. After a month I finally have some relief in my foot. No more walking barefoot for me.☹️

Old homes need work, bringing it to today's standards is a challenge. We started with a 1920's home knob and tube wiring, plaster walls, and galvanized plumbing. We picked one big project a year, took about 20 years to turn it around. Working and raising a family was tough. Made some money on it, a lot of sweat equity.

Pellets don't like moisture or it turns into a mess. Now I try to only keep what I'm going to use in the hopper. It also allows to change pellet flavor without unloading the hopper. FWIW
