  1. It won't be winter forever!
  2. Someone asked me this recently, "What is the longest successful shot taken by a soldier with a rifle at night?" <dontknow> My guess was probably 600-800 yards. Just a guess. My belief is that the ROE heavily restrict any night time shooting by people with rifles, with higher ups instead choosing to leave that work up to Apaches, Spectres, and on-station bombers. What are our troops issued currently for night time scopes?
  3. $20 is highway robbery. Here...this is free and shows you MUCH more than just how the upper and lower receivers are connected:
  4. You American cops have it good.
  5. Hell...my sister is in Hawaii. Apparently she needs to rethink her career choice.
  6. Welcome from AZ! You'll have to join us for one of our "308AR measle-parties" down here.
  7. <thumbsup> Yeah baby!
  8. If they're chambering it for the .338 Win Mag, it may prove to be a boon for the under valued caliber. Handloaders have boasted of the .338 WM for decades, been real popular with the canyon elk hunters in Colorado and New Mexico...just can't seem to break that niche. .300 Winchester Magnum, not the WSM. Ironically, the .300 Win Mag was originally marketed as the "short-action magnum" so as to appeal to the .30-06 shooters of the day. You are right...plenty of long-range bolt-actions on the market. Hard to pay 3x as much for a special semi-auto.
  9. 10 minutes?!? What the hell takes so long up in your area? <laughs>
  10. Guys set up with a girl stunt car driver on a blind date. The dude with glasses looks like he needs a barf bag! <laughs>
  11. No but that's awesome! Probably a hostage like "What About Bob".
  12. That ain't Ohio! Swamp coolers and mountains...FOUL!! <laughs>
  13. And pick up that invisible Jeep we keep hearing about. I'm calling it Snuffleupagus from now on.
  14. On a Russian outfit, from California to Tierra del Fuego. http://www.ridermagazine.com/travel-features/el-tanque-a-russian-conquest-of-latin-america.htm/
  15. That must be beachin's hand, because his Dad's hand will make it look like a pocket knife. <laughs> Nice kukri!
  16. Smith has a subsonic Trail Boss load for .308 listed at 9.5gr/1095fps, with a 150gr jacketed bullet. That's over twice as much as for a 230gr RNL .45acp load...and that is a LOT of powder in a .45acp case.
  17. Welcome from AZ!
  18. One of you clown administrators need to give Toolindie a warning for that fat chick.
  19. With the pommel on the handle (of the original)...or (for skull only) with the spine of the 1/4" blade. Those little Gurkhas know a thing or two about skull bashing.
  20. Wifey and I saw it Friday, for our anniversary. Yesterday she says "I wonder if the guy who shot him thought he could collect that $180,000 ransom on Kyle's head."
  21. That little rifle is why I purchased my Savage MKIISS. :fawkdance: Enabler. Have you shot my FNS-9 yet? >:D
  22. Wow...two slams in a row. <laughs>
  23. And in one statement Tom makes obsolete my whole supply of blue loc-tite.
  24. From those old test films in the '40s, '50s, and '60s, that flameball didn't last long enough for it to be atomic.
  25. Welcome from AZ!
