  1. Welcome from Iowa!
  2. 3. This one popped up; http://www.primaryarms.com/geissele-automatics/c/brand_1001_74/pgnum/1/pgsize/All/
  4. Here is an enablers deal, SSA trigger with a full builders lower parts kit thrown in; http://palmettostatearmory.com/psa-ar15-moe-lower-build-kit-without-fcg-black-geissele-super-semi-automatic-ssa-trigger.html Finish one build and have enough parts that you have to start another!
  5. My grandfather and Uncle took me to Blazing Saddles when I was 9 years old, an eye opening experience for a 9 year old to say the least. Can't decide if Gene was a trailblazer or a throwback........maybe a bit of both.
  6. Just noticed the same ITAR reason listed on that Raptor Q&A page, how long before they try to shut down the gun boards........
  7. Used an Armalite trigger from my AR-10 in an Anderson AR15 lower without issue.
  8. He did say if I needed something specific he would help, no charge, they just can't post it for public consumption without state department approval. It wreeks of government censorship to me.
  9. It seems that in order to avoid a conflict with ITAR the new ArmaLite management has decided they will not be posting the tech notes on their website any longer. Got this info from Tim Rooker, Lead tech and Customer service at Armalite. I'd share the actual email but it is full of confidentiality warnings. Glad I printed out all the tech notes when I did. This interpretation of ITAR would seem to make many of us here and the site in general violators since some of the same technical information is supplied in many of the threads here. So much for freedom of speech............
  10. Welcome from Iowa!
  11. Yep, I'd avoid the X-caliber. They were about $100 bucks cheaper when I got mine but I spent near that in ammo trying to dial in the gas port size they had blown, thankfully they went on the small size. Accuracy is OK but it doesn't seem to handle heat all that well for the heavy profile it is. They also didn't play well when called out about the issue here on the forum.
  12. What kind of scotch?.......never a fan of that anemic caliber anyway..........
  13. Welcome from Iowa!
  14. I listed comparison COL measurements for the Lancer, the Pmag, and the M118 Pmag. The lancer will handle the longest COL by a good bit. That said my favorite magazine is the GenII Armalite B-mags, built like a tank and oh so smooth
  15. So then this is a regulatory interpretation issue and not a specific law. Say goodbye to what we know as the internet then, congress will never man up and do what it takes to rein this in, hell the leadership is probably on board behind the scenes.
  16. I wish Bill would give us the exact LAW that is being violated. I agree wholeheartedly that America should maintain the internet as it is now, I just want to know what I'm talking about with my reps. He uses words like "enacted legislation" " and "passed laws". If congress made the law then that means they must have overridden a veto, I missed that if it happen. Passing legislation has become another form of demagoguery, they act like they did something but in reality it is just empty words. As far as congress exercising the power of the purse, they do it all the time but only on the spend it side, they never defund anything, just talk about it. As my Grandfather told me during the watergate hearings, "They only fight in front of us"
  17. The Mods here are not your paid staff, hell they put up with this stuff for free. They all have regular jobs that don't include babysitting. Relax a bit, be polite with them, and somebody will do it if it's worth doing.
  18. Geissele is getting into the charging handle business, no 308 version yet but I bet it isn't far behind; https://geissele.com/super-charging-handle-ddc.html Didn't take time to look it up on Brownells, maybe they would have it in stock like the new Geissele wrapped wire buffer spring.
  19. Looks like Strike Industries is jumping on the flat wire bandwagon; http://www.strikeindustries.com/shop/index.php/products/rifle-accessories/ar/ar-stock/ar-carbine-flat-wire-spring.html#.V7448pgrKCj
  20. Could the red loctite looking stuff be a melted red buna plug? I can't remember what I used, some sort of bore cleaner, but it turned the plug to mush and degraded the O ring. Since your rifle has had no issues for the first three years I'd swap the spring, plug, and O ring and see if that helps. Warning, it is a real pain getting this all lined up and installed so bring your patience!
  21. Welcome Jerry!
  22. WOW! Just flat WOW!!!!!
  23. The Aero banner brings me to the Aero site.
