  1. Welcome from Iowa, via Pensacola! My Armalite AR-10B digests it all without issue. Built a 308AR on a Matrix receiver set that worked fine with steel case as well, Sig P716 is the only rifle I have that has balked on it. That said I only run a box of steel case through a rifle to check for function and don't use it regularly.
  2. Tried it, code is out of date:( All his site shows in stock for AR 15 is Ti coated BCG's right now. Just sent in a note asking if any of the others would be in stock soon. Lots of the light weight BCG's in stock and the price is VERY good compared to others in the market place, just not sure I want a LW in my 300BO build. I do have an SLR adjustable block on the way so maybe the LW would work fine?????
  3. Better add d. wilson to that list, lots of options on the finish and very nice machine work.
  4. Paid about $750 for my Springfield Loaded 1911 after a few failures during the initial 200 rounds it has been flawless for many thousand, two issues that ended up being long cartridge cases. You don't have to spend big bucks to get a dependable 1911. The old beaters I was trained on worked fine, even after low crawling in mud it only took a half canteen of water poured through it for an event free range session. Best of all they feel good in my hand, natural point of aim not like trying to aim a plastic 2x4.
  5. The fact that the Chinese government is allowing the poisoning of its own people and environment to satisfy the worlds thirst for batteries could be a factor for our children. The Chinese people see this issue as America exploiting them even though the chinese elite are profiting from the business. If they should ever become an ultra nationalist, war like state it could have serious repercussions on us, i.e. we cant make our own batteries and we will be fighting the chinese, a lose lose for our children.
  6. It is very sad that we have allowed basic vital industries like batteries and lead to leave the country, We can't expect to recreate these without a cost, am I ready to pay more for my childrens future? HELL YES! An unwillingness to pay a little more is what has left the next generations with this whole mess of an economy in the first place.
  7. This PA 1x8 is comparable to the Bushnell, price wise as well; http://www.primaryarms.com/primary-arms-platinum-series-18x24mm-riflescope-with-patented-acss-556-545-308-reticle/p/pa1-8x24ffp-acss/
  8. I would love to have one but the price jump from the 1-6 was just a bit much for me. Last 1-6 version I got was $400 on sale, haven't seen that 1-8 for under 3 times that!

  10. I have two Bushnell tactical elite 1-6 power and love them. No problem shooting 300 yards and on 1x they are like running a red dot.
  11. Premature review, they have never fired the weapon, don't know the basics about it like weight, but then declare it a winner.............
  12. 16 inch barrel, rifle length gas system, and a good compensator/ brake, maybe even an adjustable gas block, should be a real soft shooter for rapid follow up shots.
  13. Hell yes! Nice shooting. Now pictures or it doesn't exist
  14. Keep searching, you should be able to find a Gemtech or PWS shim kit for less. http://m.ebay.com/itm/GEMTECH-Precision-14-Piece-Shim-Spacer-Set-5-8-24-308-6-8-7-62-kit-/181825068288?hash=item2a559e5d00%3Ag%3AGTwAAOSwT6pVwroS&_trkparms=pageci%3Aa908151d-934e-11e6-8598-000c2972b5dc%7Cparentrq%3Acb7bd7121570a357cda9f21effff3b38%7Ciid%3A1
  15. Magpul makes a MIAD specific to the "AR-10" platform. Still might not matter with no real spec on the 308AR's. http://www.primaryarms.com/mag521-blk/p/mag521-blk/
  16. "This month's theme is Red October. If you're a combloc firearms fan, you'll want to get in on this one." "NOTE: This month's kit includes ammo. State restrictions apply." Those are the only hints I see. I may try one when the hints look like something I could use.
  17. German girls have a little softer accent, nothing but fond memories here
  18. Interesting sales tactic; https://www.freedommunitions.com/gear/accessories/gifts/freedom-united-kit-oct2016-red.html?utm_source=eblast&utm_medium=email&utm_content=specialty-ammo&utm_campaign=specialty-ammo&c3ch=Email&c3nid=eblast_20161015
  19. The one you plan on building next.
  20. Never would have dreamed of that for a color name! Should work well as long as they are light skinned Barbarians
  21. Yep, found a nice light grey primer at walmart that works good, use the red primer for one side of the dueling tree.
  22. Not long, about 10 rounds and it gets hard to be sure of the impact location. I tried the sticky targets but couldn't get past a few rounds at most. A tip on paint, get primer, it has more solids so it covers better with less.
  23. I've been dealing with a similar issue when installing a QD mount for a suppressor. Best thing I have run across is a jam nut; http://www.brownells.com/rifle-parts/barrel-parts/rifle-barrel-hardware/washers/muzzle-jam-nuts-prod68564.aspx
  24. Paint it, I always give it a fresh coat, maybe a dot or cross-hair in a contrasting color so I can get a feel for group size and the satisfaction of the smack on the steel
