What are your plans for the rifle, bench gun, hunting......?

Might not be an "Armalite kit" but all the parts worked fine in my Matrix build. never did try the trigger though.

If I were using on a select fire weapon maybe I'd pay the extra otherwise I really like the SLR adjustable. They don't give any dimensions needed to know if a slim handguard would fit the straight gas tube design, also no details on what holds the adjustment in place. It appears this design would have to be exposed versus hidden underneath the guard.

American Defense Manufacturing, ADM, is top line stuff. I have several of their products and all return to zero and hold it. I bought the PEPR a few years back and had problems with it coming loose. Burris did replace it without question but the aggravation of having a failure convinced me to sell the replacement before I tried it again.

ADM makes a great QD mount. Height is personal preference, no hard and fast rule on it besides use what works for you. For higher magnification stuff I like a lower height, for my 1x6's I like a little more height.

My Magpul ACS locks up tight, my Magpul MOE Slim-Line fits nice and tight without a locking lever. If you want to balance the weight then look at the Magpul UBR.

I say he skirted it. Politically correct we are not, it's just a rule we have on the forum, you ask about a product and if nobody has it you have to buy and review it. We should really post it prominently to avoid these misunderstandings.............

Just make sure to use a reputable brand of QD swivel and you shouldn't have an issue, Magpul sells a good one, so does Midwest Industries. You don't want Chinese junk, good ones are a bit pricy so be prepared to pay more than seems fair.

I also have a 16 incher with a rifle length gas system, mine is running an Aero carbine buffer kit. The barrel maker, X-Caliber, drilled the gas port undersized but with guidance from the Gurus here I got it drilled to the proper size and have not had an issue.
