  1. No back-up drive???? I back up automatically to a drive as well as putting important stuff on that cloud thingy whatever it is.
  2. That's what I do now, digital made it real easy. Kept a list since I was 12 and joined the NRA, they had a form for it then.
  3. Starkville Gun Club, in Mississippi.....
  4. I got this email from the range I just signed up at, think I'll stick with going early and shooting alone, seems to be some airheads involved.... :cookoo: Someone left an AR at the club last week and MM has collected it. If you were at the club last week shooting your AR I suggest you put your hands on it and if you can not you might want to contact M M at ###+++#### to describe your AR to him and see if it is yours. On another note, I did get a call from another member who thinks he left his Ruger P89 at SGC some time back. If you have recovered one from the Range please contact me so we can get it to the rightful owner. Thanks Cl!@#$ never heard of this before <dontknow>
  5. I'm thinking some people deserve it .......that said I'd rather leave it up to the Lord to meat out justice, this government we have today is to incompetent to have the ability to kill citizens. We need to scale back government power across the board! Parenting was the most difficult job I've ever had...and the most rewarding! Watching them raise there own now and getting to help where I can has been the highlight of my life! Grandkids are the shiit!
  6. I just flat love it. Reliable, accurate, shoots everything from 45 to 77 grain. Like most Sigs the trigger is a bit heavy and of course the "brace" is not the ideal butt-stock but... we can't own SBR's in Iowa so it was my best option, I hardly notice now. I wouldn't be afraid to recommend it to my mother!
  7. I went with the TRS-25 with riser for my PM400, the 1/3 co-witness. It went back for warranty work after failures in the cold weather, other than that it was a great red dot for the money. They are sending me a new one but I wont get it til June they say.
  8. I want to see the hammer time combined with anvil launching!
  9. No love this weekend  The Armalite 30mm high mount will not work. I tried to set it up tonight and realized I had two issues, lack of eye relief and the "high" mount is not high enough to clear the back up rear iron even when it is folded down. Looks like I'm going to have to spring for the LaRue or the ADM mounts that put the scope further forward. it might still work on my AR-10 but I was hoping I could use it on both the 10 and the PM400. Should have waited for the scope to arrive before buying the mount :rant2: I guess I have an excuse to buy another 30mm scope, and then I'll need a rifle for it......
  10. :hethan: :2nd:  :hethan:  I had forgotten all about that song, thanks for the time warp!
  11. I have a basic AR-10 flat top, it makes me look like a good shot. If I do my part it is easily a 1 MOA rifle. ArmaLite started the R&D that made the 308 AR platform viable for the civilian market, I think they have been a touch ahead of the rest. They tend not to delve into trendy mods but stick with solid proven parts. You can't go wrong!
  12. The PM400 has been boringly reliable, never a glitch in over 1,000 rounds or so. 2 moa at 100 yards with a red dot, about 6 moa at 200 yards with irons. I went 400 rounds without cleaning it, no issues I just couldn't stand leaving it dirty anymore. If you want the "pistol brace" extended some then it needs tape or a hose clamp to keep it from creeping forward from recoil. A tad loud but maybe the flaming pig will help redirect the blast some. I'm going to mount a scope for the next range trip so I'll see just what kind of group I can get.
  13. A question about a muzzle device to tame the blast from my PM 400 has got me thinking The Noveske flaming pig I have is said to create more back pressure, does this mean I'll have to change buffers for a heavier one? Most of the reading I've done are cases when an AR pistol needed one to gain pressure and help it function, not my issue at all. So far this "pistol" has not missed a beat, I sure don't want to mess that up. I don't want it to start beating itself up either.... Any suggestions or first hand experience? ????? My wife bought the pig for me as a Christmas gift so I'd like to use it, don't want her to stop getting me cool stuff for my guns you know!
  14. Sig PM400 and P716, no paperwork required, get'm while you can before they're :banned: My LGS tells me 75% of these he sells are to LEO's.
  15. I feel for the victims but... damn that is funny <laughs> <lmao> <laughs> <lmao> Must a <lmao> been <laughs> Biden <laughs> <lmao> <laughs>
  16. Had them within 10 miles both north and south of me here in Houston MS. The one to the north is the one that whacked Tupelo, what a mess. Still haven't heard a death toll........pray is all I can do for them.
  17. Just got the Bushnell Tact. Elite 1-6.5x24 scope in the mail today. Found it on ebay for $755 shipped from sportsmanssupply2. I picked model ET1624SJ. It is second focal plane with there BTR-2 mil dot reticle. here is a link to the Bushnell page; www.bushnell.com/all-products/rifle-scop...lluminated-btr-1-sfp The mount is still on the way so I'll start with some pics and my first impressions. I couldn't seem to get a decent picture of the reticle but it is crisper than the eotech's I've used and really doesn't look as busy as I expected from the picture on the website. The zoom dial has some pretty good traction with several knobs around it and it turns nice and smooth but firm. The illumination has a nice wide range of adjustments with two being for night vision use. It is as clear and as good at gathering light as any scope I've used but then I've never looked through the real top tier optics. I really don't feel I need any better in this regard. The turret covers thread on and off easy and have a nice heavy feel to them. Some questionable things I've noticed is one, a lack of information in the manual. There are 14 pages in English and they apply to the entire Elite tactical line so only a few pages are of any real use. They have some more detailed info on the website but for the money a guy shouldn't have to squint at a tiny manual or run the printer. I'm a little concerned about the adjustable zero set on the turrets. When in the down or adjustment position they are firm with nice crisp, definite clicks. When you pull them up to set the turret back to zero the knob feels real flimsy. It may be stronger than it feels but I wont mess around much without the turret covers on. The last of the cons I see right now is the Made in Japan mark, I would have preferred a USA mark but at least it isn't made in a $1 an hour country. With the lifetime warranty I guess I shouldn't worry much but I hate sending things in for work and I know from experience that Bushnell charges a $10 shipping fee for warranty work. I'll post a few more pictures and comments when I get it mounted and have some groups to show. Can't wait to get a zero on it and see what I can do
  18. SFP, I read reviews that the reticle was very small on the FFP. Since having a true 1x and using it somewhat like a red dot was a factor for me I went with the SFP. It was on my doorstep when I got off work today. I've only had a quick look but I like it so far, clear, nice wide range of adjustments for the illumination. My mount should be here before the weekend so I'll wring it out then and let you all know what I think.
  19. The longer I work for the feds the more I'm inclined to think they are not capable of such a conspiracy. :strokin: Could some individual bureaucrats in separate agencies have the idea of taking ammo off shelves, maybe, but a government wide organized effort? I doubt. :sad3:
  20. Ended up shelling out a $100 to join a club north of Starkville. Nice setup with locked gates, limited membership and an indoor range in case it is raining. Have the place to myself every time I show up at 7 am. <thumbsup> :auto:
  21. I've got 300 rounds waiting for it, 200 M-193 and a 100 77grain SMK's. I'll report back with a short review. While I'm waiting I better brush up on that mil stuff, it's been awhile <dontknow>
  22. 100 yards with my P226 MK25, couple rounds hit low out of frame so I only got 7 of 15 on the 8 inch by 3 foot steel but then I was surprised to here any ring at all.
  23. Just pulled the trigger on a new scope; http://www.bushnell.com/all-products/rifle-scopes/elite-tactical/smrs-1-6-5x-24mm-illuminated-btr-1-sfp Went with the BTR-2 reticle. Supposed to be here by mid-week...........
  24. Don't get used to it, that will soon change!
  25. I never did see Lincoln as a great president, used to make the teachers stutter with my pointed questions about things like Liberia, habeas corpus, and other dictatorial maneuvers he used that violated the constitution. He opened a lot of doors for future power grabs............
