  1. My nephew has that scope with the BTR reticle in it. He hunts with it and keeps it on a rifle behind the seat of his farm truck, held zero for going on five years now. I own several Bushnell Tactical Elite scopes and am a big fan, Bushnell has upped their game to try and stay up with makers like Vortex, bet you'll be fine with it.
  2. Welcome from Iowa, via Missouri!
  3. I don’t care for any of the Gose I have tried but what you’ve shown me of Brewing Projekt I wouldn’t hesitate to grab that. Never thought tea and beer would work but they proved me wrong there for sure When I get up that way this summer you will have to steer me to a place I can grab some of their brew.
  4. Fire, Skulls, & Money IPA from Toppling Goliath in Decorah Iowa. This is the second batch of this I have tried, guarantee I will try a third when it comes! Some pineapple and melon up front with a ripe citrus right behind. Finish has a mild pine and floral bitter that is balanced perfectly with a touch of sweet. Easy drinking but with a little body to it, get some.
  5. Nugmo IPA from Toppling Goliath in Decorah Iowa. Aroma is all orange. Taste starts with a mild pineapple juice bend then goes to a ripe citrus, mandarin orange flavor. It finishes with a slightly dry and mildly pithy bitter. A sip seems to turn into a gulp without even a thought………
  6. Log Out DIPA quadruple dry hopped brewed and canned for Stillwater Artisanal by Great South Bay Brewery in Bay Shore NY. Distributed by 12%. Some malt and citrus aromas. Upfront you get a mellow fresh melon and some ripe mango papaya flavors. Hints of sour, like a ripe fresh lemon or lime balanced with a sweet creaminess, reminds me of a milkshake. Another very good beer from these guys, super beers at a reasonable cost, getting more for sure!
  7. I'm thinking the kid can handle a few shots This has made me even curiouser about the .358 Win, does the trend continue?
  8. Mainstream Pop Song DIPA , brewed and canned for Stillwater Artisanal by Dorechester Brewing of Boston, Mass. and Distributed by 12%. Bananas and bubblegum hit my nose. Before a flavor note hits you notice how thick and creamy the beer is. Has some malty banana and juicy fruit gum up front. Sweetness goes to a dryer bitter with a floral note, touch of pine, leaves how it arrives only a dry bubblegum and banana. Good beer, very fresh tasting. These guys are starting to impress me, I will buy more.
  9. Might be sorted out on this rifle, It has just enough gas to go but with everything tight from the start, just needed some operating passes for the machinery to break in. Stuck a Vortex 1x8 on it and got some 200 gr. Federal Fusion. First ten one at a time, lock back every time. Load ten in a new ten round P-mag, loads from bolt catch but has a little clunky sound, next round loads on delay, saw the bolt go close as I turned the rifle to look. Next round hung up loading until the butt hit the bench then went home. Emptied and broke down the rifle, wiped down the parts and lubed up the BCG, buffer and spring were a bit dry, might have not lubed them 😕. Everything has lube now, ten rounds and no glitches. Another 18 rounds of the 200 grain and then ten of the 185 to finish the trip and no more issues. Super fun to shoot with that short, light barrel, the brake barks, it might not have anything to do with the break but the 338 Fed is a nice soft shooting round in this rig. Now I'll see what Mr. Shenanigans has to say about shooting it this summer.
  10. Strobe Light DDHIPA Brewed and canned for Stillwater Artisanal by Dorechester Brewing of Boston, Mass. and Distributed by 12%. A little lemon and grapefruit aroma, just a hint of bread. Nice slightly dry and pithy citrus flavors, grapefruit and a sweeter lemon. Just a hint of that green grass and floral note at the finish, tart not sour and on the dry side.

    375 SOCOM

Looks worth the drive! I had never really looked at the numbers on this cartridge before, looks like a real bruiser and the lower pressures should help with brass life.
  12. A much less devious and more enjoyable form of the word than the dreaded click accept version.
  13. Accept DDH Pale Ale Brewed and canned for Stillwater Artisanal by Great South Bay Brewery in Bay Shore NY. Distributed by 12%. Nice tropical fruit aroma with a hint of fresh bread. Flavor is FRESH tropical fruit, mango, papaya, guava, touch of lime, some grapefruit and pineapple. Has some of that pithy dry at the end but balanced well with some malty sweetness so it ends real crisp and clean.
  14. Nice! Gotta love it when they run all comers for ammo.
  15. Welcome from Iowa!
  16. Bushnell has a 1x prism that is pretty small, smallest out there right now. I have two and they have worked well. Biggest difference in function from a standard red dot that I see is the eye box and eye relief. The eye box is tighter than a red dot but really generous for a scope. I would say I get 80% of the benefits of a red dot, but I'm bias there cause most red dots look like curly Q's to me. Curious if you have ever looked through an Aimpoint? My first was an Aimpoint PRO and it is noticeably crisper for me than others I have used. I have played with my in-laws Eotech and found I got some double ring effect after time. https://www.bushnell.com/products/red-dots/tac-optics/tac-optics-red-dot-lil-p-prism-sight/
  17. Waco on Netflix, a reminder of how differing opinions are handled by some and how the government lies. Sad..........

    Grilling

God I miss that fresh sour dough I used to make every weekend....on the plus side I've dropped 15 pounds since giving up that and potatoes....well not entirely but seriously cut back on them.

    Grilling

Hell yes, that looks good! That is the exact seasoning I use on steak, maybe some blue cheese crumbles on a leaner cut.
  20. Brewcifer DIPA brewed and canned by Church Street Brewing Co in Itasca, IL. Has a light citrus and melon aroma with some malty hints. Some mango and papaya , a little orange up front, a malty backbone and a floral bitter like finish with a hint of sweet. Very fresh tasting brew, slamable if it wasn't a double, well still slamable but 9% ABV so be aware. I will buy more if I see it.
  21. Welcome from Iowa, via Missouri! Grab an Aero receiver set and add some Bill Wilson to it by getting one of his barrels, top notch stuff for the money 👍
  22. He actually has it up again, hard to navigate though, couldn't find those articles by Latigo, they are gold! MrMarty is building a .243 and somebody wants to know if all .308 Winchester ammo is made by Winchester since they all say Winchester on the box...........
  23. @Sisco may recognize the origins of this from the old 10T site. Latigo and some seriously in depth reloading articles.
  24. Looks great! My Dad loved his Romeo, sadly my astigmatism doesn't mix well with them. I can see one extra to consider, cerakote to match the furniture, not really needed but I would be remiss if I didn't try to help you spend just a bit more.
