  1. Pretty much the same here brother. That's why the priority was just for the kids and the grandkids. Ahh....a grandpa's life ain't cheap or easy is it?
  2. Merry Christmas to all of you guys. Ya bastards.
  3. The bill for everything that everybody else got.
  4. Welcome aboard Swamp Donkey.
  5. By the way..............We're AR-10B brothers. That's enough right there. Hell.....we can exchange mags for crying out loud.
  6. You're my inspiration brother. I'm 51 and I'm not slowing down. And the rest of these bastards can prove it....they've seen me. My motto is........never stop moving. You stop moving......and then you become old. Keep on getting up brother. I plan (hope) to meet you face to face some day.......................................................... Hopefully so we can shoot the $hit with each other. IT WILL HAPPEN. We'll let Shepp go fetch the beer. He get's it.
  7. I've got an Armalite that I built using the Noveske 12.5" Leonidas barrel. Noveske ships it with a gas block and gas tube. A bunch of the guys around here have shot it also. It shoots well, is accurate and I've never had any reliability issues with it that I didn't cause myself (a loose safety selector screw once). I've shot it suppressed also and she runs quite well. John Noveske knew his poop when it came to designing barrel/gas system combos. As far as for POF. I've got one of their 12.5" SBR's that I bought (factory built, I didn't build it). To tell the truth, I don't see any real difference in performance from it compared to any of my other DI gas SBR's. And I really wasn't that impressed with it, and rarely even take her out of the gun box to shoot it. My shorty Armalite is my "go to" for my SBR's that are 7.62/308. Here's the POF. I've also got a 3rd shorty 308. Made by DSA. It's a FAL OSW. Now she's fun to shoot. The FAL adjustable gas system is probably the most adjustable of any out there. She's probably the heaviest out of the 3, but she's still pretty badass.

  18. SS knocked it outta the park on that one.
  19. Gotta love the nose art that some of those bombers used to wear. And yes, unfortunately, they wouldn't make it out of the hanger paint booth these days before someone started crying.

I appreciate the offer my man. It would be great to see the old lady again, along with your family. But I've got a date with my little 2 and a half year old (almost 3 really) granddaughter. Don't ask me why.....but the lil thing absolutely loves me. Probably cause I just helped her old man (my son) put in a new kitchen floor this weekend. The thought is what counts though brother. And us East coasters have to stick together somehow. laughing

Happy birthday Sisco........My other Armalite (10B) loving brother.
  22. Now I'm always the first one to say, that when you're hungry.....you'll eat damn near anything. That being said. Even after I was first separated, and had literally nothing after my pay check, there was always something better than the canned chicken. Hell, look at the price that Shepp came up with in his photo. Ramen noodles, raviloli or peanut butter are still cheaper this the canned bird. Not saying that I wouldn't eat it if I was hungry enough. But $hit.......where are the hot dogs until then? Even Armour brand potted meat on crackers (had that a lot as a kid) could probably be choked down easier than that pathetic looking bird.
  23. Progress is progress my brother. That'll get you closer to making it out to next fall's meet-up.
  24. The gold cans go down quite easily my friend. Sometimes, I just utilize them instead of eating. All of that food just gets in the way sometimes.
