  1. I'm with Shepp on this one. They don't do anything for me. And like SS said, I also want my handguards to be kinda solid. You know......so you can beat somebody with them if the rifle just goes "Click".
  2. That's the smallest school bus I've ever seen.
  3. Now THAT's fuckin hilarious! Good find Doc.
  4. Welcome aboard from MD.
  5. Yeah. No caliber, no number of rounds = no interest from me.
  6. True. After all....he is the ORIGINAL "Hookers and Blow" guy.
  7. It's about damn time you popped up brother. Been wondering why we hadn't heard from you lately.
  8. I only used the AAC flashider on one rifle, and that was a PTR G3 clone (so that doesn't count for this). Other than that, I've used the AAC brakes and comps on all of my 10 B's. Never had to stack that many shims in order to time them. I would guess that you could just bottom out the flash hider, and not worry about it. Maybe, just use a couple shims just to fill the gap so you don't have any threads exposed (just for GP's). Any reason why you wouldn't want to use a comp instead? They're pretty nice, in my opinion. How long till the cans arrive?
  9. Good to hear from you SS. Sucks about the genset. Sounds like my luck.
  10. Damn! I guess I'm on my way then Wash. And I'll have beer (and Rene) with me too.
  11. I like having the back-ups just as a "piece of mind" type of thing. The cost of them sure as hell beats the alternative. Don't get me wrong, as I said before, I trust the optics that I install and use on my weapons.
  12. Now THAT's fukin funny.
  13. Luck of the draw my brother.
  14. No wonder you fit in so well around here.
  15. Did somebody bash Rock River?
  16. Damn Sketch. Talk about your major surgery.................... I hate following up water damage.
  17. Welcome from MD.
  18. It wasn't meant that way at all man. We all tend to yank each others chains around here. But please...speak up whenever you feel like it, and say whatever you want. It wouldn't be the first time I've ever been kicked in the balls. Hell. I'm used to it at this point.
  19. Dude! It screws onto the business end of your rifle. What other instructions do you need?
  20. As if you'd turn down a nice Ribeye if it was set down in front of you.

    Big Trouble

That's a hell of a price for a Springfield M1A. Surprised you didn't pounce on it Sisco.
  22. Interesting article Blue. And where, like the author says, I have confidence in the optics that I place on my weapons, I see BUIS's as what they're named for. They're there for "back up". So I still place them on all of my rifles, from the shortest to the longest. To me, the $200 cost for a good set of YHM or Troy sights, is more valuable than letting a scumbag possibly take me out if the optic battery dies.
