Well it's about FUKIN time my good man! I wanna see that thing put together. After all.....my Leonidas Armalite needs to see it's Leonidas Mega brother.
-
Now THAT's fukin funny!
-
I'm not a Dodge guy......but that's down right embarrassing (for that douche-bag), to lose to a land rover.
-
Where and when? Yes......even the hermit is willing.
-
-
Well $hit brother. We could make it an east coast thing. Maybe work it down to your area or something. In celebration of your re-awakening.
-
If nothing else. Carolina's aren't that far from me brother (6 hours or so). Hell......I drove farther for Greg's sorry ass. We could definitely try to work something out to finally hook up and go blasting.

Dude. The large AR platform, and suppressors = weight. I'm pretty much convinced (and I may be wrong), that they are strictly for the sniper world when it comes to this platform (where the hell is Stain to chime in on this). I've got an AR-10 SASS, and between the rifle itself....plus a loaded mag....and the glass that is going to be needed.....then the bipod to help support it (unless you hang it over a stump or something), then you hang a quality suppressor off of the end of it........all of that equals weight. Now don't get me wrong. These animals serve a purpose. The very purpose why I built mine and am building another similar to it. But you have to consider the weight of these things as you're planning it. Also....that in use....you may hump these things into place in pieces and then assemble them. But still.....the weight is there. Either on the rifle, or in your pack as you maneuver. Not trying to discourage you my man. Just chiming in my 2 cents.

Careful my man. We may just have Rene eat some overstuffed burrito's just in your name for this event. After all.......punishment isn't supposed to be pretty. (lots of corn)
-
Awww $HIT! Sorry dude. We'll swing by to pick you up before we head inbound. FUK! I've gotta keep a better list of the team members. My intel gets a little shotty from time to time. We'll have to lay blame to the recon crews. Fukin Matt!
-
One Sentence My Good Man....................................................................... WHERE THE FUK HAVE YOU BEEN YOU DIRTY ROTTEN BASTARD? with love of course
-
Wait a minute! You bought some Glocks? Wow......the world really is changing isn't it?
-
Damn......he was awful nice about that. Very PC.
-
You know how it's pronounced............Fronk-en-steen! Fukin hilarious to this day. He was a classic.
-
That's fukin hilarious. That cat definitely is the Alpha around the mutts.
-
There you go. You didn't need me at all. But I'll take being singled out as a compliment (I think).
-
There just MAY be a little bit of truth in that deduction.

TIME : CLASSIFIED LOCATION : CLASSIFIED MISSION OP : CLASSIFIED (Need to know basis) Edgecrusher was laying in bed. He heard his "other" phone start to vibrate. He picked it up, glared at it for a moment, and then silently texted back...........READY! With that, he quietly got up and got ready to move out. He was designated "lead" on this off-book OP. And....he had many things to coordinate. This was going to be an East Coast OP and everything had to be coordinated just right. He quietly grabbed his gear, kissed his kids (as they slept), the old lady......and then headed out the door. There was plenty to do. And timing was everything. He had alot of ground to cover. Plus, he had to pick up that BIG BASTARD Jrtmasp. 392heminut was sitting in his favorite comfortable chair (by his tapped bar) when his phone buzzed. He let out a breath, and picked it up. He stared at it for a moment, and then simply responded with an "OK". With that, he stood up (his tall ass) and proceeded to his weapons locker. First...the chest rig.....then he yanked out his 308 carbine (of course) and 2 of his 1911's (who's shocked by that huh?).......along with many mags of course. He jammed one 1911 under his shoulder and the other at his hip. He was ready. He turned to the old lady, and simply said "I gotta go". She waved him off. Knowing that there was no talking him out of his "duty". Simply saying....."Come back soon". With a smiling (lurch-type) grin.......he was off..............and he waited for the plane Not much later, the plane was in the air. Planeflyer (Jon)....that cranky bastard, was at the stick. The "teams" had recovered from the whole "traded a C-130 for a black Krylon DC-3 (courtesy of Armed Eye Doc) thing", and had traded themselves into another C-130. Details are NOT important at this point. Don't, I REPEAT, DON'T bring up the whole plane thing to Jon. It's not worth it. He'll just start rambling about a muthafuckin microphone................but I digress (sorry for you late-comers, you'll get it eventually). Anyway.....suffice to say.....98, Mikedaddy, Shibi, Blue, and Hemi (pretty much all of the Southwestern fella's) were already on the plane......checking weapons of course. "Plane" was on his standard "pick-up" routine. Flying the "north/northwest route" to pick up the west coasters. Sketch, Bubba, DNP, Robo, Farkle......even sliding out to Idaho to pick up Magwa. Then.....cutting south to swoop across to aim for the mid-lands. First he stayed on his northern course. Picking up Shepp, Sisco, Unforgiven (that hard drinking bastard), Jtallen, Zebra and then Beach. Finally, the turn was made to head pretty much due south. Next was Wash (that broken down bastard, who was still talking about grilling something or other), and a new team member going by MrMack (holding an Oracle.....but talking about M14's?). With that......the plane rolled over to start it’s northernly turn. First flying laterally to swing by and pick up the florida boys...SS and Easy (the whole crew on board giving a silent salute to Ernie "microgunner" as it passed through the area. Planeflyer then banked the aircraft into a northern bearing. Heading the craft through the likes of Georgia, to pick up Stain, then Mineralman (also in the deep south). then the Carolina’s to snatch up Matt (that low-life......I’m sure we had a reason). And finally, Maryland to pick up rsquared (another east coast low-life.....similar to Matt). With that.....it was only a short ride (relatively) farther north to finally pick up Edge and Jrtmasp and their rendezvous point. ALL WAS SET! At that point......the entire team was together. ALL "squads" were together. Everybody started going over thier ground objectives. ALPHA : (98, Robo, Edge, R2, Unforgiven, and Matt) - team equiped with suppressed 300 BLK SBR’s BRAVO: ( DNP, Hemi, Shibi, Farkle,Bubba and Beach) - team equipped with 7.62 carbines CHARLIE: (Plane, Blue, Shepp, Zebra, Easy and Magwa) - team equipped with 7.62 carbines/rifles DELTA : (Mikedaddy, Sketch, SS, Wash, Jtallen, MrMack and Armed Eye Doc) - team equiped with 7.62 rifles STAIN : (He’s his own team) - 338LM or bigger........................... The teams sat...going over ammo counts, munitions and general individual team objectives. They were ready. And they knew it. All team-leaders, one by one, keyed their mics and gave the "Ready" signal to Planeflyer at the helm. Hearing that.......Jon rolled the plane gently over.......and started back due West. He hit his mic and simply said....."Teams are ready.....we're inbound ladies". And the plane flew off into the pitch black sky. STAY TUNED! THE 308 AR TEAMS ARE BACK IN ACTION!

Well I've been laying back for a while (as I've been told ).........but ain't that the fukin truth my man?
-
Hell. I'm 50......and I'm still not that way. grin
-
My god man. You must have the patience of the rate that continents shift at (relax California guys......it's just an expression). Very impressive.
-
Wait....wait....wait. You wanna build a 308 on the AR platform and TRY to save a couple bucks? Welcome to the bank draining world of the large frame AR's my man. You'll find out.................................it's a disease........and the only cure is................CASH!
-
What made you decide to move to the 308 AR/AR-10 Platform?
Rsquared replied to imschur's topic in General Discussion
I'll interpret "getting off easy" as not getting kicked in the balls at every available opportunity. As far as being around? I've been lurking all about at all sorts of times. After all....I've been trying to come up with the "Rescue of the Silverback from himself" OP. It ain't easy trying to imagine all of the scenario's that could go sideways on that one.
