  1. R2 had already hit the ground and started moving. The entire MO of him dropping before the rest of the team was for him to secure ground transport. And that, was exactly what he was moving towards. He had moved, through some long open fields in the tall grass for approximately almost 2 clicks. The bright October moon was casting tall shadows in the empty field as he came upon the vehicle that had been placed for him beforehand. It was tucked just under some tree cover, in the darkened shadows of the moonlight. He recognized it instantly. It was a black, 95 F-150. Similar to the one that he had owned before. He laughed to himself as he settled into the drivers seat. Hell....it almost felt the same as his old ride............almost. With that....he fired the engine. He sat there for a moment......then started laughing to himself, realizing the humor of the brothers who had found this vehicle and placed it here for him....as he stared at a cheesy bi-pod that had been placed on the dash (yeah...I get it). With nothing but the sound of the engine idling, and the discreet sounds of nature in the background, he said "Fuk it....Time to go". Then....jamming it into gear, the truck moved off into the darkness. Heading for it's rendezvous. THE APPROACH: The team was approaching the small emplacement (target). The area had been cleared of trees, obviously, just enough for the structure to be built, with a small clearing around it. Matt was at flank left. Rene (unforgiven) at flank right. With Tom (98) at the "6" position. Edge and Robo were lead center. They were spread approximately 5 yards apart as the entire team came upon the "outer perimeter" that had been defined in the mission OP. Upon hitting that line....everybody came to a halt....and then waited for the signal from the team leader. The building was a small, one story structure. Nothing really extravagant. There was a porch the width of the front of the structure. It had a single door on the front side. No lights on....but you could almost make out 2 figures standing "security" on either side of the door. There was one other door on the back side of the structure with a set of stairs that led to the grassy "backyard" area. The building had a pair of windows on each side....with curtains (or blankets) closed over them from within. The entire team was still in the patrol "T" shape at the outer perimeter marker. Edge held out his right arm at chest level. First with the closed fist "STOP" motion. Then, hand flat and palm down, he motioned it lower to his waist. The team members, keeping an eye on the team leader, lowered themselves to a "one knee" kneeling position as Edge assesed the situation. They were close enough that they could just about here sounds from within the structure. Edge, being the closest, was making out the sounds. It sounded like a pair of wet leather gloves being thrown onto a hard floor. It only took moments before he realized, that it was the sound of a human body being beaten....again and again. The sound of fists, on sweaty or bloody flesh. Edge keyed his mic and quietly whispered "This is it boys". The team members responded by "clicking" their mics (in sequence) back at him one by one. No words. Silence. After he counted the four clicks, he looked towards Matt, giving him the quick clockwise swirl motion with his hand. Letting Matt know that he was going in from his left flank position into that left window of the structure. Matt began to move off quitely into his position. He then looked over to Rene and gave him a quick counter-clockwise swirl motion. Meaning he was going in opposite of Matt from the right flank position. Rene began to move off silently. He turned to Robo, and gave him a wide-gesturing slow counter clockwise swirl. Indicating that he was to move around to the "back door" of the structure. Rob gave a downward "chop" hand motion and proceeded to silently move off, working his way around and to the opposite side of the structure. With that, Edge turned around towards 98. Their eyes locked, Edge pointed at him....layed his hand out flat again....and then pointed at his ass. 98 got the message of (stay on his ass).....gave a shortened "two-fingered" quick salute back in his direction and started to move up closer. The time was at hand. Edge looked at his watch......counted off another 30.....and then keyed his mic and whispered "R2....SitRep". The earpiece of all team members crackled "Less than two clicks out.....and closing fast. On-site in 90 seconds"! Edge keyed his mic again, and whispered "Team ready"? All that was heard was the four sequential clicks of acknowledgement. He knew that this would all be resolved in that 90 seconds..........more than likely. He keyed his mic and whispered "GOD......you got the two up front?" A brief moment. Then the response from Stain (hope you didn't forget that he jumped last). "God is watching"......and then a soft "Thud"! And the guy to the right of the front door had one side of his skull sheared off. A second later......and another soft "Thud". And the guy to the left had the top of his head ripped off. A few brief moments passed until Stain hit his mic and simply said "The sea is parted". Hearing that, Edge hit his mic and said " Now, Now, Now"! WE'RE GOING IN!
  2. Now those bad boys have some potential.
  3. Nope. I surprised everybody with it. I kept my mouth shut from the time I ordered, until I picked it up. Because as we all know.....pics or didn't happen. Now there was PLENTY of ball bustin for the bi-pod though.
  4. ^^^^ This right here. These guys make great stuff. I've got a bunch of stuff from them. From slings to chest rigs, I love their stuff. Just don't be in a hurry when you order. But you won't be disappointed.
  5. Why, yes.....it did.
  6. I see what you did there.
  7. Careful there RSS........don't let him bait you in. You'll never hear the end of it.
  8. Aaahhhhh......yeah.
  9. Welcome from MD.
  10. I feel for you MM. I think we've all had those kinda days when nothing seems to cooperate.
  11. Well, I was gonna say something.....but I decided not to.
  12. I'm with Dirk on this one. From the pic, it looks like a pic rail attachment. The thing is definitely wild looking though. And yes. The speedloaders are a nice touch on the holster.

    Redid the 700

What? You mean Tom made something else FDE? I'm shocked.
  14. I'm a big fan of Slash's buffers. His XH buffers are pretty much what I use across all of my AR-10's. Granted, it's mostly because they're set up to be able to run suppressed. But they run just fine with, or without the suppressors.

    Grilling

    Duly noted!
  16. Some things just never change.
  17. Another happy ending. What's not to like?
  18. You're the man SS. Nobody can ever doubt that you test stuff constantly. A lot of good insight. Thanks brother. Information is always a good thing.
  19. That's one of those things that I've never forgotten since the first time you posted it Wash. It's a good "fictional" story brother. We can only hope that stuff like that doesn't happen.
  20. THE BUILD UP: The "teams" C-130 was cruising towards the egress point at approximately 30,000 feet. No tails lights. No markings whatsoever. All of the team members were aboard. It was a bright (late October) night. The drone of the engines were all that could be heard...until the sound of bolt carrires started slapping home. Operatives all around the craft were "clearing weapons", and getting prepared to set them in the "cocked and locked" setting. Edge (the team leader for this OP) stood up, and glared at the band of misanthropes that had banded together for this mission. He felt...secure. He felt...protected. He felt...that there was someone that would ultimately have his back if needed. He felt........GOOD. He knew that this was going to be a "different" kind of OP for this crowd. But he also knew, that this group would never let him down. His eyes glanced around the craft at each individual. He touched his earpiece as he heard Planeflyer say from the cockpit..."We're here". A calm, peaceful look came across his face. And then the rear ramp lowered down. Moments later, he turned towards R2 and motioned with a chopping hand gesture. With nothing but a nod, R2 pulled his mask into place, walked towards the ramp, charged his .300 BLK SBR (SLAP)...and stepped off. Not a word was said. Edge turned, and stared at the group of men. He keyed his mic and simply said..."We're ready gentlemen"! With that...Matt, Robo, 98, unforgiven and Stain stood, pulled their own masks down, and took there place beside the mission commander. All six of them stood on the ramp, and waited for the next "green light". It was only a matter of minutes before the next signal would be given. The "SLAP" of the BCG's was heard (along with the rushing wind effect) as Edge, Matt, 98, Unforgiven and Robo charged their rifles. Edge held his .300 suppressed SBR as if it was part of him. Matt clutched his .300 suppressed SBR waiting for the "go" signal. 98 and Unforgiven just stood there...emotionless. Robo was fingering a (suppressed) MK18 that he had said that he swiped from R2 fair and square (instead of the .300 BLK). The bastard! That was one of about 6 different weapons he had on him though. If nothing else......that fuker is always armed! 3 minutes later.............The green light was lit. With that, Matt stepped off first. After all, his primary objective was "security" for the team leader. So he was going in first. Moments later, both Robo and Edge yelled at the top of their lungs as they ran towards the end of the ramp. They both DOVE off of the back of the ramp. I'm not sure. But I believe that something to the tune of "I'M COMING MUTHA-FUKAS" was heard as they decended into the night sky. Seconds passed...as both Edge and Robo watched the C-130 melt away into the blackness of the surrounding sky behind them. 98 and unforgiven, stood there, masks in place...and simply counted to 30. Then...while saying nothing...they walked off of the ramp. They were also playing the part of....security. What else needs to be said? It took a "good" 60 seconds or so...and then Stain pulled his mask into position, tugged on his weapons bag one more time (just to tighten it)...turned...and gave a devilish grin to everybody left on the plane...tucked his bag against him...and then stepped off of the ramp. He never said a word either. He disappeared into the night sky behind the plane. THE PLAN: Edge and Robo were the spearpoint of the extraction team. Matt, 98 and unforgiven running "security" to those two. Stain...was (shocker) overwatch. R2 was to be ground-based egress support. The idea...to keep the primary team small and nimble. The rest of the 308 AR company would provide support at the extraction point (or leading up to it). THE EXECUTION: Matt Hit the ground and rolled. He came to a kneeling position and slapped the chute release on his chest. He had already released his O2 mask (as per protocol) before he landed. It was only moments before he pulled his primary weapon up and began to scan the area in front of him. He was in position. The drop had gone pretty seamless for him. He fell into his position (approximately a 50 yard lateral left location). Within a minute (or so), Edge and Robo both hit the ground not far from him. They both hit the ground...rolled...and came to a crouched (aggressive stance) position. Weapons forward, they both released their chutes, one at a time. Careful of the "bright full moon" that was lighting up the entire area. They then proceeded to move forward. Moments passed............then 98 and unforgiven came down. Both hitting the ground and seamlessly rolling in opposite directions. They both silently moved off into their positions. With Unforgiven taking the (50 yard lateral right position), while 98 took up the "6" position of the two primaries. Stain hit the ground approximately 800 yards from the other 5 team members. He hit the ground and rolled to a stop. Almost silently, he released his chute and started to crawl away. Moments passed as he assesed his situation. He looked around, his head seeming to be on a swivel. Once satisfied, he picked up and started moving to his primary location. He hadn't landed far from it. It had been a outstanding drop. His position..........a tall "bulge" in the local topography, wasn't far from his current position. Double-checking his GPS, he fell into place. He then proceeded to quietly zip open his bag to begin deploying his weapon. He slung his bipod out, and placed the rifle on the ground. Then, he snapped his glass onto the weapon....followed by the NV device in front of it. Finally, he screwed the suppressor onto the end of the muzzle. Then...he settled down behind the lens...and began to "Watch" the entire area. R2 had hit the ground before the others (by design). Like Matt (following protocol), O2 mask was released prior to landing. He came stumbling to a stance, slapped the chute release on his chest, and proceeded forward. His primary MO was egress support. Meaning......he was in charge of finding and securing the "ride" for the rest of the team. He laughed to himself as he started off into the darkness. He had already had it planned out pretty well. As long as nothing got in his way. Stay tuned boys..............................the mission continues!
  21. I'm most definitely intrigued.
  22. Welcome aboard, from MD.
  23. You're fittin in just fine my man.
  24. My mistake. Mine is from SWS on my 10 SBR. Don't know why I was thinking Apex. Stupidity probably. Yet another smartass in the group.
  25. Welcome aboard, from MD.
