All I got is some Blackhawk boots on order to replace the ones that I'm wearing now. Hope they get here soon. These are getting to the year mark. Don't know about the rest of you guys..........but I wear the hell outta boots. They're all I wear. These are startin to get pretty worn........but still goin. It's already getting too late.......I gotta crash. I'll pull one of my bolt carrier's tomorrow to put up a pic. Just about all of my Armalite carrier's have the "grooves" in them. Except my original A2 carbine. It was smooth (the carrier). And the exterior of the upper didn't have the FA. I'm not 100% sure. But I think shortly after I bought my original A2 was when Armalite went to putting the FA on just about most of their rifles. Hell, they don't even offer A2 style uppers anymore. Yeah, yeah......laugh at me. I still like the look of the original "Eugene" design w/the fixed carry handle. Not that a flattop doesn't have a place in my heart either.

Black works great once the sun goes down. <laughs> That being said. There's no one camo that'll work for every situation.

Just for the record (not to depress you)....I've got 2 Form-1's that I've been waiting for since February.

^^^^ Yep. No adjustable gas block on my 10.5 " Noveske barreled SBR. It shoots subs or supersonic without a problem.

I'm over here (old Dice Clay joke)! I've never personally handled (read as fondled) any of the A model rifles. All of mine are the traditional B models. So I can't honestly say how they run.......but they're still Armalites. That being said. I don't think that I've ever seen any of the lowers available separately. Hell, the B lowers were hard enough to find up until about 8 months ago (or so). I'm with Tom on this one. Go for a complete rifle, and modify accordingly. There are some pretty good deals out there (the 12 to 13 range) that I see on these rifles periodically.
