  1. Those kind (rare mind you) usually have their head screwed on a little better.
  2. Ahh. The esteemed Foghorn Leghorn approach. I'm totally onboard with his philosophy.
  3. Now don't get me wrong. On paper.......they can be some smart MF-ers. Put a tool in their hand........they can't find their ass with both hands.
  4. Rack the thing one last time.................and shoot the dog.
  5. This sounds like a length vs girth type of thing. Couldn't resist.
  6. Larry and I can tend the fire.........while drinking of course. <laughs>
  7. Yep. Drafting table? .................Check. CAD Software? ................Check. Slide rule? ........................Check. Code/Rule book? .............Check. Magic Hat/Wand? .............Check. Why can't you guys in the field just install what I designed? My answer......................... :thefinger:
  8. Did you REALLY just say that..........Nuts are tasty? Too easy my brother. I won't even comment.

2 racks are always better than one. What's their names? <lmao>
  10. Anytime....my man. Ball bustin is free around here. So is the actual help......whenever it filters through.
  11. I'm with you there SS. I love the look of the original BAR. And damn if those things ain't fun when they're set on the slow setting.
  12. Noveske's are stainless. They'll eat (and take) anything you throw at it. No reason to open up the gas port just to install an adjustable block. These large AR's have more than enough gas flowing through them. I run adjustable blocks on most of mine (for running suppressed). Haven't tried a Syrac block yet. But I have them on the "future build" list.
  13. ^^^^ Now that sounds like one helluva party right there.
  14. I'd start with an Armalite 16" barrel. They're fair priced, chrome lined and mid-length gas. I've shot the hell out of my original (factory built) carbine.....with all types of ammo. Same barrel type was used on one of my carbine builds. And that one I use as my beater. Or, you could go with a Noveske barrel. Ranier has a few, but not in the medium contour that you're thinking about. They're a little more on the cost side, but you can't go wrong with any of their barrels. I've got a couple of their barrels on different builds (including their 12.5" Leonidas barrel for my 10 SBR). Here's the beater. She has a couple thousand rounds through her.
  15. Nah. He ain't messing with you. He's just trying to get my dander up. Not gonna happen.
  16. Bada-Bing! F-ing hilarious Hemi.
  17. Yeah....it's called your favorite's list. <laughs>
  18. Love those Raptor handles.
  19. DUDE! Just pick one and roll with it! <laughs> I've had many range sessions with my AR-10 beater carbine that I've run through 300-400 rounds (Lake City M80) without even a burp. Even the AR-10 SBR that I built last year already has a round count of around a thousand or so. Like Sisco, all of mine are Armalite's (so far) so I can't talk about DPMS. Now, I'll be building a BRO upper/lower set (DPMS/SR25 pattern) later this year.....but that doesn't help for an opinion right now. These things are like potato chips. Once you start, you can't have just one. <laughs>
  20. Blimpish 180? What? Are you about 5'-5"? <laughs> I've been about the same 6'-0" 200 for about 20 years or so. Not svelte mind you.....but not a pudge either. And all I do is work.......not work out. Who has the time for that?
  21. I have to concur with my gentleman constituent from the state of Arizona. F#@K Rob! :thefinger: <laughs>(said in a nice way of course) Awww....what the hell. Matt deserves at least one also.
  22. I've got a couple of the Raptor handles Indie. On AR-10's and 15's. I think I've found the handle for all of my builds from now on.
  23. Yep Rene. Those Garands will pop those mags out pretty sturdy. Did you at least hear the "ping" right before you yelled ouch? <laughs> I say it with love brother. We've all had little learning lessons with our Garands. And the thumb <thumbsup>. We only do it once before we learn.
  24. Now how did I get volunteered for this? But I..........Yeah but.......Really, I............Aww Fuckit......I'm in. I'll go gas up the truck.
