As a fellow East coaster Lonewolf. All I can say, is that the SDTF is FUKING AWESOME! There's been some great Shenanigans and Hi-jinx that's gone on out there. Case in point. 2017 Fall Meet-up : The first time I brought my daughter along with me. We drove from MD by the way. She was in her late 20's at the time, but fit in like a glove. Instantly, was one of the fellas. So what happens. During one of the night shoots, a couple of us get this great idea......after many, many beers of course. Sketch puts a Go-pro on her forehead, I hand her an MK18 and tell her to let it rip as fast as she can. I think it was Shepp who was filming this (I could be wrong.......I was drinking of course). BUT........the hilarity ensues. Kate at night.MP4

DUDE! You've got to stop thinking about all the "what-if's" about this thing. Like 98 said. Just go shoot the damn thing and get the real time feedback that you feel in your shoulder and observe with your own eyes. You can run scenario after scenario in your head about what "might" happen forever. But you're never gonna know jack $hit until you actually pull the trigger and get actual seat time behind the rifle. To constantly analyze data (conjecture) that you've made up in your head is useless, and a waste of time. You can't solve an issue that hasn't happened yet, without causing other issues. Period.

So I went stumbling through the door of my local gun pusher. No, really this time. It's been a while since I've been in there. Not because of the virus nonsense, just because of life nonsense. So it was good to see my pusher again. I mean, it's been about a year since I bought anything off of him. Long story short, I've decided to go with the Trijicon. As I've said before, my pusher doesn't push Nightforce anymore. I guess that there's just too many cheap fuks that aren't willing to spend that kind of money on glass in my area. But I digress. He only had a handful of Sig scopes on hand, and none of them were really lighting me up that much. So I had him order the Trijicon that I posted up earlier on in this thread. So, he said that it would probably be a couple of weeks before it came in. No problem I say. I've been sitting on most of the parts for this build for a year. So what do a couple more weeks make at this point right? Oh, and he approved of the build in case anybody was wondering. NOW. Just to show just what kind of prick that this cocksucker is, and I can't really blame him. He's always hoping that eventually he'll catch me off guard, and in a moment of weakness, and trip me up. While I'm standing there talking to one of his other employees (known as decoys). He slides up and hands off a 9MM M11 (sub gun). Nice. I fondle it. Don't even look at the tag. Get my jollies....and hand it back to him saying "Nice try....I'm here for glass fuker". He laughs, takes it back and walks away back towards his safe in the back. I casually hollered back to him saying, "Don't keep going into that safe fuker....I'm here for glass". He responded with some kind of man sounding grunt of some type. We never hear that $hit around here do we? So I continued to talk to his decoy for a couple minutes, thinking that he was trying to track down the number for my scope (but I knew what he was doing). He appeared a minute or so later and jams this Sten MK2 into my hands. Starts saying how that would look good going home with me (relatively), and how much fun they are to play with. Well, I'm a fan of WW2 sub guns by no doubt. I fondle the $hit out of this thing.....drool all over myself....try and suppress the stirring in my pants....and finally (with super human overpowering restraint) hand it back to him. Wagging my index finger, I calmly remind him that I'm only here for glass. And nothing else. You gotta hand it to the brother. He's persistent if nothing else. I guess that he figured that I wasn't into liquidating part of my brokerage account just to buy a sub gun, so he instantly pivoted and took another approach. The Fuker. So he then walks behind his counter and comes back with a SCAR 16. I take it from him as I remind him, yet again, that I'm only here for glass. Well, he volleys back with that he's got just the right optic that he can put on that thing and that it would be a great part of my collection. See? This is what this fuker does to me every time I walk into the place. It's a constant barrage of weapons thrown at me. Hoping to wear me down. BUT! I was triumphant. I was BOLD. I was SAVAGELY ruthless and stood my ground. I KEPT saying NO to everything he threw at me. I was standing fast.................................except for the ADM QD mount that I was gonna have to buy from him anyway to go along with the scope when it comes in. So, I got out of there for a mere 200 bucks. I'll count that as a win any day of the week. And for the record, I offered to pay for the Trijicon now and be done with it, but he said no. That keeps me in my defensive crouch I guess. So. Here's one of the next to last pictures of this thing for this build thread. Though all it has is the mount attached to it. Lonely.......just waiting to be filled with glass. Oh. And as a side note. Since I was in my mount attachment mode. I went ahead and put that Vortex 1x8 strike eagle/midwest QD mount on my Daniels M4. I mean why rush into things right? I've only had that scope/mount for over a year. Hell, longer than I've had the MK12 parts. Obligatory M4 porn. That's enough for now ladies. I'll let you all know whenever the scope comes in.
-
I'll definitely have him check into them.
-
Yep. I remember seeing that from your build thread. Hell, I said that it looked like a hell of a scope. Either way, I'm trying to help out my local pusher first before I go to the internet. That's why I want to see what he's pushing. Plus I know that he'll want to fondle the new build.
-
That's a DAMN good question that I absolutely have ZERO excuse for. It's easier to build them than to clean them.
-
Only limited to imagination and funding. Everything comes over time.
-
At the very least. Yes.
-
Well.....it didn't sound so sincere. BUT....knowing who you are, I guess that I'll...........................NO............................I'll stand by my original response.
-
No worries my brother. I'm always open to thoughts and opinions. That's why this group of guys is here. We always bounce ideas off of each other.
-
Keep it up smartass.

We'll have to get some of the fancy automatic Dillon presses for the bunker. I've got 5 gallon buckets full of brass (556 & 762).

Let's not forget maintenance. All of my years in the engineering field show that there's always a PM schedule that can be performed. Let's not forget that I'm the guy who's anal enough that I regularly blow-down my water heater (and document it), just to keep the sentiment from building up. Maintenance is everything to a working, functional facility. Yeah, yeah.....go ahead, let it all out and make the jokes fukers.

So. Optics. I'm gonna make a run up to my local gun pusher in the AM to see what kind of stuff he has, or may be able to get. I've got to admit, I'm already kind of leaning towards another nightforce NXS optic for this. I really like their stuff. But, to be fair. I figured that I'd throw out some of my honorable mentions to you guys. Going in ascending order of cost. First up, Trijicon. https://www.primaryarms.com/trijicon-credo-2-10x36-ffp-rifle-scope-red-moa-precision-tree-reticle-matte-black Next up, EoTech. https://www.eotechinc.com/eotech-vudu-2-5-10x44-ffp And of course. The Nightforce. https://www.nightforceusa.com/nxs-25-10x42mm-zerostop-250-moa-moar-digillum-ptl-c458.aspx All of these are "similar" (ish) to the original spec'd scopes. Also, I'm planning on using either a Bobro Engineering single lever QD mount, or yet another ADM QD mount. Like I said before, my pusher isn't a Nightforce dealer anymore as of my last visit with him a year ago. But he carries some of the nice Sig optics as well as others. Though I get pretty pig-headed (yeah, shocker right?) once I get my mind set on something. So we'll see what happens. That fuker somehow always figures out a way to push my buttons. I'll let you all know what happens after I get back from the pusher's tomorrow. AND.....the adventure continues.

Yep. We're on the same page. Missile silo type of design. Full upright connecting tunnels. I'd automate the $HIT out of a place like that. I'm talking Trek style of motorized doors (not the pneumatic "swish" type) and everything. I could easily go crazy and Fuk a place like that up, big time.

Nice job. Gotta love it when things work out. Good lookin rifle.

What do you have on order or in the mail? Part 2
Rsquared replied to imschur's topic in General Discussion
That's what I figured. It would almost be a crime not to. -
Don't you worry Fuker! We ain't done Fukin with you yet. I AIN"T done Fukin with you yet. After all......you and I may be building our own underground, house/bunkers (convening with tunnels, but still separate of course) in Skull Valley. You're the only one that I would consider changing my mind of having Wyoming as my final LZ. Of course....that's cause Rene is already married and I don't know $hit about Indiana and the mid-west.
-
Funny. I could have sworn that was Rene, when I first picked him up (OH....YEAH) at the airport for Greg's graduation.

Welcome aboard from Maryland.

Nice. I approve whole heartedly. That's a great score overall.

Can't come fast enough with the way things are these days.
