  1. No worries my brother. I'm always open to thoughts and opinions. That's why this group of guys is here. We always bounce ideas off of each other.
  2. Keep it up smartass.
  3. We'll have to get some of the fancy automatic Dillon presses for the bunker. I've got 5 gallon buckets full of brass (556 & 762).
  4. Let's not forget maintenance. All of my years in the engineering field show that there's always a PM schedule that can be performed. Let's not forget that I'm the guy who's anal enough that I regularly blow-down my water heater (and document it), just to keep the sentiment from building up. Maintenance is everything to a working, functional facility. Yeah, yeah.....go ahead, let it all out and make the jokes fukers.
  5. So. Optics. I'm gonna make a run up to my local gun pusher in the AM to see what kind of stuff he has, or may be able to get. I've got to admit, I'm already kind of leaning towards another nightforce NXS optic for this. I really like their stuff. But, to be fair. I figured that I'd throw out some of my honorable mentions to you guys. Going in ascending order of cost. First up, Trijicon. https://www.primaryarms.com/trijicon-credo-2-10x36-ffp-rifle-scope-red-moa-precision-tree-reticle-matte-black Next up, EoTech. https://www.eotechinc.com/eotech-vudu-2-5-10x44-ffp And of course. The Nightforce. https://www.nightforceusa.com/nxs-25-10x42mm-zerostop-250-moa-moar-digillum-ptl-c458.aspx All of these are "similar" (ish) to the original spec'd scopes. Also, I'm planning on using either a Bobro Engineering single lever QD mount, or yet another ADM QD mount. Like I said before, my pusher isn't a Nightforce dealer anymore as of my last visit with him a year ago. But he carries some of the nice Sig optics as well as others. Though I get pretty pig-headed (yeah, shocker right?) once I get my mind set on something. So we'll see what happens. That fuker somehow always figures out a way to push my buttons. I'll let you all know what happens after I get back from the pusher's tomorrow. AND.....the adventure continues.
  6. Yep. We're on the same page. Missile silo type of design. Full upright connecting tunnels. I'd automate the $HIT out of a place like that. I'm talking Trek style of motorized doors (not the pneumatic "swish" type) and everything. I could easily go crazy and Fuk a place like that up, big time.
  7. Nice job. Gotta love it when things work out. Good lookin rifle.
  8. That's what I figured. It would almost be a crime not to.
  9. Don't you worry Fuker! We ain't done Fukin with you yet. I AIN"T done Fukin with you yet. After all......you and I may be building our own underground, house/bunkers (convening with tunnels, but still separate of course) in Skull Valley. You're the only one that I would consider changing my mind of having Wyoming as my final LZ. Of course....that's cause Rene is already married and I don't know $hit about Indiana and the mid-west.
  10. Funny. I could have sworn that was Rene, when I first picked him up (OH....YEAH) at the airport for Greg's graduation.
  11. Fukin A brother! That's a NICE acquisition right there. Glass?
  12. Welcome aboard from Maryland.
  13. Nice. I approve whole heartedly. That's a great score overall.
  14. Can't come fast enough with the way things are these days.
  15. Welcome from Maryland.
  16. Welcome from Maryland.
  17. You said it's a Trijicon. It'll be ok. They make pretty stout stuff. You could spike my ACOG that I have on a 10 carbine like a football, and that thing would keep working. This is actually a pretty sweet deal that you've stumbled across brother. Like I said earlier, I'd pounce on that for sure. Hell, these days, that price is good just for the rifle. You add in the optic.....it just pumps up the value of the deal. And don't underestimate the mags that your friend is gonna get to you. The 10B mags are solid. Hell, I've got those things piled up ass high to a 6 foot Indian (no offense intended Magwa ). I've never had an issue with ANY of my 20 rounders. They just work.
  18. So I made some more progress. She's coming together pretty good and almost complete. I've just gotta slap the muzzle device on her in the morning. After that, I'll wait until next Saturday to take her up to my gun pusher, so he can fondle her a little too, and see what kind of glass that he may have. I've been trying to throw money at him during this build, since I haven't been up to his shop since last year when I bought that AR-31 off of him. Tried to give him the PRI sale, but he stopped being a dealer for them a while back. So, I'll give him a shot with the glass. He was pushing Sig optics (along with others) the last time I bought an optic off of him. He's not a Nightforce dealer anymore either, so he better hope that I don't decide to put an NXS scope on this thing. I was eye-ballin one on Primary Arms. Yeah , yeah, I know.....you guys are saying enough with the jaw-jacking and get to the rifle porn. So................... Charging handle, since I didn't specify before. On the operating table just after getting the handguard and gas system in place. And a full on side view. Like I said. Muzzle device in the AM and then it's on to optics. As you were ladies.
  19. I'd jump all over that deal all day long. It's easy to change barrels if you end up not liking the 20"
  20. Yeah. Same here. I'm a big fan of the stuff they make. But the prices can kill you. That being said. They make some great barrels. I've used their barrels in all of my SBR builds over the years.
  21. Yeah, I forgot to throw the charging handle on that pile, but I've got it. I appreciate the offer of a gas tube my man. BUT, the R2 theory of being stupid, had me stumble across the gas tube finally yesterday evening as I was cleaning up after putting all the tools away. It was hidden in some of the packing paper. As usual, I almost threw it away as I was breaking down the box that the barrel came in. I thought that I had ordered the gas tube with the barrel. So, now we'll carry on.
  22. Anything can be fixed. Well, for the most part they can. Either way, this crowd will get it running for you.
  23. Current gas prices in the DC area.
  24. That'll keep Tom off of your subway for sure.
