Realistically, only Armalite makes compatible uppers for their lowers. Except maybe some older Noveske uppers. They used to make their stuff to the Armalite spec. But that was years ago, and finding a unicorn would probably be easier. Keep in mind that a stripped upper from Armalite (or other parts places) will run around 300 bucks. The BCG will be another 250. So you're already over half way to that 800. Then you add a barrel, gas block, gas tube, charging handle, sights......blah, blah, blah. Really, 800 to get a functioning AR-10 upper isn't really that bad. Building Armalite rifles/carbines isn't the cheapest way to make things happen. Go ahead.....ask me how I know that. I've got (a few) of them. Armalite and cheap don't go hand in hand.

For what it's worth. My POF P308 SBR that I bought a couple years back uses standard Pmags. Just checked their website, and they show nothing but Pmags with any of their rifles. Not sure why your DPMS style sled wouldn't work in the POF.

My brother....... You ALWAYS keep them. Even if you throw them in the back of the rack, you can always circle back around and clean them up / restore them however you want to. Granted......that's just my thing. I don't sell anything. Hell....I'll give it to one of you all before I sell it.

I've got a special place for Enfield's. They're just sweet, all around bolt guns. Pretty damn accurate too.

Yep. Similar to my POF P308 SBR. It was just around 24 months from the time I ordered it, to when it finally came in. I had damn near forgot about it by then, till my gun pusher called me and told me to come get the damn thing.

So the BA barrel showed up this afternoon. I may go ahead and assemble the lower this weekend (maybe). So now, I guess I've gotta source the handguard, top rail and sights. I'm probably gonna break protocol and use an AAC comp (so I can use one of my cans if I want), and I've got a spare Atlas bi-pod that I'll use. Other than that, it'll be glass after that. No hurry though. November is still a couple months out. No pressure.

Don't feel bad brother. I still haven't even shot that Springfield 1911 RO that I bought last YEAR. And that's a crime all in itself.
