Sounds like the chamber may be a little tight. You may have to get it reamed out a little if the problem doesn't correct itself with break-in as more rounds are thrown down range.

Just throwin my 2 cents in. I run an older Eotech 553 on my MK18 SBR. It'll bang steel easily at 100 yards (actually farther) with both eyes open. I use it as a "go to" for playing with the steel gongs at the fall dessert shoots. In all fairness, I haven't worked with any of the Romeo sights though. So I can't really give an honest comparison. Congratulations on the new granddaughter Cliff. They're always pretty fun. I know the two of mine are fun to be around. Hope everything stays good with her.
