  1. Will get a range report when it arrives.
  2. Where's the silent partner?
  3. There are lots of great loads for 7.62x51. Here's two: 38.76 - 39 grains of TAC, Sierra 168 BTHP, 2.795" LOA,Win LR primers, 1x-fired LC cases. 39TAC_JW_M14.pdf 38.76TAC_JW_M14.pdf
  4. Welcome from the LA swamps.
  5. Couldn't resist. Sportsman Outdoors Superstore had M&Ps on sale for $350, plus a $75 rebate from S&W for $275... shipped! Got a .45ACP Shield.
  6. I think I'll offer this for our monthly safety briefing. It's far more informative than telling us "We always face forward when walking up stairs." (yes, that is the type of idiocy our safety gurus tell us.)
  7. Interesting. These fool journalists propagandists can't even get this right. The photo in the article show a woman with a Glock, not even a Colt.
  8. Sure, I'll sell you my shirt. $100, already broken in. These were available a few years ago, and bought a couple for myself and my eldest daughter.
  9. I got shirts. Would love some transparent stickers for the back windows of the truck.
  10. I needed to use a paint stripper heat gun on an upper that would not accept the barrel. A few minutes heating and the barrel slipped right in.
  11. Happy Trails to three POS.
  12. Welcome. Another 'gator, why not a Semihole?
  13. into bankruptcy! Just one thing. Make sure your get a matched upper and lower receiver. That will save you a lot of heartache. Welcome aboard.
  14. What the hell? Zulu Meets 300.
  15. Yeah you did, you just didn't know it.
  16. Clay, here's some advice: Read, read, read every loading manual you can get so you can learn about the variables involved. You'll see each manual has different loading data for a given cartridge. That's not unusual. Pick a mid-range load and start there. Watch a few Youtube videos on reloading and you'll see the idiosyncracies of loading bottlenecked cases. GET A CASE GAUGE!!! USE IT!!! IT IS THE CHEAPEST INSURANCE YOU'LL EVER BUY!!! For now, for now, stick with one powder, one bullet, one primer. Make the powder charge the only variable. Load some rounds and practice. Get used to your loaded rounds. Be patient! Load up a butt-load of cartridges and have some fun. You're now addicted.
  17. Wasn't there a movie about a bunch of Mexican musicians/vigilantes who had that kind of firepower in their guitar cases? "Once Upon A Time In Mexico".
  18. I'll agree with that. Being a left-handed rifleman, it never was a big deal to shoot anything from a Garand, to an M14 to any AR. The spent cases ejecting in front of me I ignore, use your index finger to work the safety. Not a big deal. Heft a platform and see what it feels like. I picked up a Daniels Defense 308AR a while back, and it was the cat's meow. Try one of those. If you need to fuss with it after a few 1000 rounds, just change the safety to an aftermarket ambi.
  19. AA2520 works great in 7.62x51, 5.56 and 30-06. Some folks will tell you it won't work in the 30-06, but from personal experience, it is one of the best all-round powders you'll find.
  20. TAC is a great powder for the .308... clean burning, great accuracy. AA2520 is as well. If you're just starting out, perhaps you should stay with ball powders, as they meter more easily (less frustration) than stick powder like Varget, Reloader 15 or IMR4064 (meters like Lincoln Logs).
  21. We had a great 5k on Saturday. About 300 runners, and we raised over $27,000 for brain cancer research! People had a great time after the race with all the food, beer and camaraderie. The runners loved the course, as they said it was fast. Winning time was 16:04. My knees hurt just thinking about that pace. As soon as we can, we'll get videos and more pics of the event. Last year we donated $50,000 to brain cancer research, and another $2,500 in soccer and Girl Scout scholarships for young women in our parish. We are off to a great start in 2017. http://www.kellykickingcancer.org/give.html http://www.kellykickingcancer.org/
  22. Got my first batch of BRCC coffees Saturday. Tried the AK47 in the machine, and wow, it is good! It produces a full, strong and smooth straight espresso. Just a hint of something else I couldn't identify (chocolate?, berry? couldn't tell). No funky aftertastes. Many espresso roasts produce a charcoal or cigarette-ash flavor but not the AK. This is great stuff. I'll get around to trying the Blackbeard's Delight later in the week. Great job BRCC!
  23. Decided to look at one of the incessant ads that pop up on the web. Couldn't stop laughing at the t-shirts. http://www.badideatshirts.com/Default.aspx?afid=5&gclid=CMn1zej9xdICFYSGaQodbJEMnw
  24. Cool video, but too much faux cartoon is mixed in with actual footage.
